Detail Asus Malaysia Warranty Claim/RMA Process

1. Get a copy of the delivery order (DO) note from me for your device. Purchase date is on DO.
2. Register your device on Asus Website. Your device serial number is the CSSN number.
3. Bring in your device to Asus Service center and bring DO note along for support.

Asus Support Rep informed me that they will need about 1 month to turn around as they will need to order parts from abroad.

Detail Google Play US Warranty Claim/RMA Process

1. Report to me 88sales88@gmail.com if you want to send your unit back for warranty claim. Describe problem in detail and give me the unit's CSSN number.
2. I will report to Google about issue on your behalf and ask for warranty claim.
3. Google will provide RMA form/sticker to be included to post your unit back to them and also provide me with a online form for me to submit for request of replacement unit.
4. Once submitted, Google will put an authorization charge of a new unit to my credit card and ship the new unit to my US address. (I believe shipping is free. Need to confirm).  Once delivered to my US address. I will then ship the replacement back to MY. (~USD30 courier charges will apply unless I have other bulk shipment coming in which will reduce the courier fees.). I will hold on to the replacement unit until step 6.
5. From the time the unit is delivered to my US address, you got 21 days to ship your faulty unit to Google via courier. (you will need to pay for the courier). Would suggest to use well known couriers such as UPS/DHL/FedEx.
6. Once your faulty unit reaches Google and is acknowledged by Google and Google releases the charged on my credit card, you can pickup the replacement from me.

In the event that Google rejects your warranty claims or your unit fails to reach Google in time and Google charges the new unit to my credit card, I will not be able to release your replacement unit until the issue is resolved.

Thus, don't use this process if you know the damage is self-caused e.g. water damages and require chargeable service or not covered under warranty to avoid these issues. In such scenario, I would suggest to contact Asus Malaysia for service.

Questions regarding USD 25 credit

Google support reverted to me and says that Google will credit the USD 25 to the Google account that is used to activate the device. This is a time limited offer according to Google. So I would  recommend buyers to activate the device immediately upon receipt. (which I am sure you will  )

Those having issues getting the USd 25 credit try this solution from one of my customer (Eu Jin)

Guide for receiving 25$ credit from non US countries
If you bought Nexus 7 and didn't get 25$ credit (and missing Google Books, Google Magazines, Google Movies) this method may work for you.

1.Make factory reset.
2.When you get to the screen to enter Google account skip it.
3.Uncheck all the check-boxes in next screens.
4.Now when you got to the home screen, go to settings.Under Wireless and Networks click more.
5.Click on VPN, Add VPN. Now the Nexus 7 will ask you to define security (Pattern,Password,PIN), Define whatever you want.
6.Click again Add VPN, and enter this definitions:
Name: SuperFreeVPN
Server address: superfreevpn.com
and click save.
7.Now click on SuperFreeVPN,for username enter:free, and for password go to website superfreevpn.com and look for VPN Password.
8.Click Connect. If connected successfully you will see key icon in notifications.
9.Go to Settings, under Accounts click Add Account and choose Google. Enter your username and password, if everything is OK you will get to screen that will ask you to enter credit card to Google wallet to receive 25$ credit.
10.While you using VPN you can download Google Books, Google Magazines, Google Movies.
