Have you try McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool?

http://download.mcafee.com/products/licens...atches/MCPR.exe

It's a simple tool to uninstall any McAfee product. For Windows Vista & 7, please run this tool as Administrator nod.gif

This software is good, give Revo Uninstaller a try. It has loads of options offered beside a clean uninstall(with registry keys and folder leftovers):

Bro, stop the McShield and other McAfee related service in computer management before uninstall it. You don't need a third party uninstaller, Windows uninstaller is enough.

Yeah, i would say your best bet would be Revo. Your Uninstaller 2011 is also pretty thorough and good.

Revo can even help you uninstall those stubborn programs biggrin.gif

Just wondering, can Revo be used to remove unwanted files on the desktop as well?

This is because I have a few files which was not downloaded properly, and now I have the problem of deleting it..

If the executable file is still there, broken or not, then its possible.

Or if you know the application name.
