I understand the 150 free mins is for the registered maxis mobile user only. If I were not a maxis user and I register a maxis mobile later, can I still get the 150 free mins ported to my account after I have installed the ftth?
Thanks

how about others having the same issue? everyone on highrise? anyone on landed?

i started to think the telephone line could be the culprit... or could it be the copper issue?

I always get that using utorrent at the office, but still the download speed is appropriate. Using maxis i do occasionally get those errors, and i'm not getting 1.2 mbps like most people are.

hey, i get that too with both unifi and maxis ffth , however both still give me full speed if the file i'm downloading is highly available. Try to test the speed with high for example these torrents http://torrents.gentoo.org/

i have a friend who subscribe to the same service, who mentioned disconnection problem.
But he says, router shows internet is connected but can't browse. Then he need manually disconnect and reconnect on his router to get back the service. But he's landed with FTTH, so I wasn't too sure it's the same problem....

ur pretty lucky. my fluctuation goes down to 0 -30 kb/s ,averages around 400 and rarely goes up to 900kb/s..
I guess it depends on the torrent too.

Can anyone confirm that public ip helps sustained torrent speed? mine fluctuates to 0 most of the time... cry.gif
so it still takes overnight to download a 3gb torrent.

This is my only gripe so far besides from slow page loading at times. otherwise, im pretty happy with maxis.

yes, i kena once, same situation too... happened after only 4 hours of installation... will ask the maxis guy why this happened but i doubt they can answer, sure blame firmware

same as unifi/tm, maxis is using contractor to do maintenance and installation... so you may get young ciku who know nothing
