mostly people just come here to complain how bad maxis fibre are...
when it's good those people with vanish into thin air...
1)no capping implement yet
2)international ping is not very good at the moment
3)web surfing is fine/excellent most of the time
4)you can use custom router and you need to keep the default router for voip
5)no throttling at the moment
6)not sure... disconnect issue seems to be causing by the sh1tty thomson router(overheat easilly)
7)depends on where you stay... high rise building will need to use your RJ11 port for vdsl and landed property you can get another line with no problem
*
keep the router for voip is not everybody option. my only hope is when manufacturers like asus or tplink for example. they make customized router with voip. allowing users full control over functions. you see the table will turn around against tm unifi.

maxis fiber is still new. while tm unifi has majority of users. it's just matter of time i no idea.

from what i compare my Maxis Fiber and friend's TM Streamyx
Maxis has more hop than what TM does
and this will surely effect on your ping
and will effect your gaming experience too
as example play SEA LoL
mine hover around 45-52ms while his 20-25ms

if u already subscribre unifi for gaming
i suggest u maintain your current line
if not you may opt Maxis for better price

some what agree with u on the international connection. but it depends on destination also. some place better than Unifi. but in general Unifi will have better Ping.

but for downloading This package is the best right now.
Unlimited quota,
10mb package cheaper than unifi 5mb package,
no p2p throttling.

52 vs 25 i think still acceptable, but when connecting to other places i think the ping will be more higher and that time 27ms ping difference might make big different... coz i usually play with foreigners...

as far as i know maxis is using sip for voip... if there's people figure out the settings for voip then we can use any device that support sip to dial
we can use any router we want that time

A long time user of Maxis's mediocre wireless broadband here. Living in a Maxis territory, Unify is out of the question. sad.gif

Anyhow, seems like the RM118 Maxis FTTH package is no longer available. If only that unfathomably obstinate parent of mine had concurred to it. Now I'll have to check out alternatives, else it's time for me to hunt for an apartment.

and than how many officer will come out there office and use your hotspot perday...

wah, 20mbps++, how about direct download and bt? however, ping is not so low compare to other landed installation, some claim lowest can get is 5ms..., and upload speed quite slow, my highrise installation upload is high, around 18mbps++...
*

i dont mind the high ping because i dont play any online game.bt can easily get 1Mb/s.
