Bro, what is the download speed for QVOD or direct link downloads???

Saw another thread outside, maxis home connect to USA slower than Unifi.....

If compare to Maxis Business 4Mbps Fixed IP vs Home 10Mbps which 1 is better ?

Coz I can get special promotion for business plan.

Total cost will be RM552 only different. But speed 10Mbps vs 4Mbps.

QVOD so far i can get is 500-600kbps, then thunder is faster, sometimes can get 1mbps.

chill bro... i dig out some reasoning for you

QUOTE(DrPitchard @ Jun 19 2012, 12:16 AM)
This is actually more of a process fault...
The physical form is actually sitting at the Home Fibre dept. When it reaches there, it goes through a few process, such as time slot availability, port availability, customer background check (for blacklisted customers), area availability (coverage) and so on. If it passes through all, then only will it be passed to be keyed into the system.

Thus, if you realise, lots of the response time varies alot for each and every channel. Some register online and get response within 1-2 days, some don't hear after 3 weeks and still waiting. Some goes for registration at Maxis Centre, through dealers, through staffs or even roadshows. Forms are not lost, just that due to the process and how it is sorted, the response time varies alot.

I apply Unifi on Sunday and on Monday they call me to install on Tuesday but I postponed Wednesday (actually that was the agreed installation date on the application form) as I haven't bought cat6 cable yet. This is during the 118/mth promotion. They are ample TM contractors out there...maybe Maxis not enough their own contractors? rclxub.gif

Done my installation today afternoon, both Maxis and TM technician came on time, the installation took around 1 hour ++ for high rise building, everything went smooth, download speed got around 10mbps ++ and upload speed around 13mbps ++ while ping around 15++ through speedtest.net. Overall very satisfy with their services up till now, the technician are friendly, that's why put an "Awesome work" comment for them on the satisfaction form.

Nice ping you have there for a high-rise building! Mine's never lower than 25ms, most likely due to the usage of copper wires / VDSL from connection centre below up to my unit (16th floor) sad.gif
