the problem with maxis is responsiveness of the service...latency, stability still leaves much to be desired..

public wifi can be turned off from the router.
Torrent seems okay, but some users face issue on the performance on direct download sites, such as rapidshare.
Notice that youtube viewing isnt too smooth either,

From one of the forumers here, seems maxis is doing some maintenance work till end of the month, but don't know if it will solve all these issues. If you are very particular about stability and responsiveness, then I suggest not to switch just yet until the problems are resolved.

Dunno about you, but my experience with Unifi was not that perfect either... No DC, but the occasional slowing down to a crawl, solved by restarting the router.

After reading and searching...makes me more headache...sometimes it's better just go for it and try it and experience it..like that much easy =) no need scare this and that..But problem now is no modem I tot can enjoy many movie when raya comes. Aiseh really pain in the $$$ ><. My other self keep tell me go for vip10 Just add rm70 only...

the only way to upgrade firmware from 8.4.3.I to 8.4.3.U is changing router?

intermittent disconnection issue now have 2 possibilities:
1) public IP
2) 8.4.3.I
for me my router is 8.4.3.I and im using public IP

by the time they solve everything, 24 months contract over edi.
those issues are not solved yet, since may 2012.

go for maxis if you do not rely on it for crucial task
disconnection is to be expected.

i am on 8.4.3.U with private ip, so far ok

the only way to know is change your router first

I'm also having this disconnection issue once in a while.
I do suspect it is the becoz of public ip. Before changing to public ip, i never hav this issue.

Yes. Call to cs they say their site doing maintenance work. All down.

i call them they say nothing wrong, and they reset my port or anything. And ask me to turn on the modem again after 10 minutes

How come different answer from cs? Still no connection yet.

connection down..disconnect n reconnect all back to normal

this sucks so much while playing online game ....

my user experience of voip dectphone.

1) dect phone disconnected and reconnected by itself few times in a day. can hear the sound "toot tot" from the handset and lcd screen displayed searching....
2) on going voice call got disconnected. Can't really kill the free 600min coz long call got cut off and chatting mood disturbed.
3) what is "Paging Call" ? I received call displayed on lcd as "Paging Call" continuously for 4 times but line cut off when answer button pressed.

Yes, this wee morning got interupttion and call Maxis CS and they answer replied within few hours when I am sleeping...Gosh..they really disturb customer sleep..lolz..Anyway, not their fault as I ask them to update me soonest.

Apparently, Maxis is doing some software upgrading work on the server which outage to all Maxis FTTH and would solve connection issues.

So far, I am monitor whether any disconnection happen again. So far, 6 hrs since last ONT and Maxis router reboot, connection is still alive.
