i noticed from the old promo RM118 and current promo RM138 has got quite a number of difference in term of the free calls. i signed up during the RM118 promo and this thursday they are coming to install. so i should be getting the old rm118 promo like 600 mins free maxis call and 200 mins international calls right rather than the current one? im just afraid after they install and i sign the paper i will be getting charged to the current promo which is the rm138 one. dont think that will be the case right?

Can anyone explain the promotion on 600 minutes to Maxis Mobile? Is it to any maxis mobile number, or just the mobile number tied with the package? Thanks

Pretty satisfied with the speed and stability, only concern now is trying to achieve a NAT 2 type connection with my PS3. Anyone know where the DMZ is accessible on the router?
Oh yea, is Static IP essentially a Public IP? Looking into port forwarding to achieve the NAT 2 connection, would like to avoid the headache though. |

Me too in private ip(default).
No much problems except poor wifi signal of thomson router (sometimes strong and sometimes weak in my kitchen). However it doesn't matter me at all since all my family members are using around living room and bedrooms (full bar of wifi signal). Full speed 90% of the time. And usage of around 3~9 wifi devices (laptops, handheld devices, bla bla..). This post has been edited by lololzai: Jul 16 2012, 04:49 PM |

QUOTE(jetwash @ Jul 15 2012, 03:47 PM) ohh ok. so it helps if you have 30 year old walls bro jetwash, with that message, torrent would be fine and not noticeable but when you browsing or loading pages, sometimes you would see interruption or slow in loading the page. For landed, it not too noticeable at it is Fibre all the way into yr home but for those stay in condo, you will notice it more.Added on July 15, 2012, 4:15 pmBy the way guys, i also have the "xDSL linestate down" thingy in my event log every 5 minutes or so. Can't say there has been an effect on my connection at all. Torrents work fine at max speed, ping to local servers is good, my dreambox (which needs to connect every 6 seconds) is fine, browsing is quick enough. So might be the problems with your connection have nothing to do with the xDSL linestate down? Could it be something else? I'm landed btw.. My only problem now is I still haven't been able to register with mylaunchpad haha.. Time to bother the CS girls then! |

Yup actually I do notice sometimes it's quite slow to connect during browsing, takes around 20 secs or so. So yeah I too am affected, a quick reload solves the issue, and it's not severe enough to justify forking out for a custom router though.Added on July 16, 2012, 9:59 am QUOTE(ryudell @ Jul 16 2012, 09:03 AM) have you checked whether there's any channel conflict with your neighbours?although i'd reckon it's a problem with the thomson itself This post has been edited by jetwash: Jul 16 2012, 09:59 AM |

QUOTE(aerobowl @ Jul 16 2012, 08:54 AM) Hi Aerobowl, the problem happens on the IE9 browser. You can clear your cache by going to Tools>Internet Options>Browsing History> tick everything inside the check list and delete it. Do try it. |

QUOTE(Music Mania @ Jul 16 2012, 09:16 AM) Googling everywhere for a solution. I have solution for you, my googling let me to this sometime back when I faced PS3 issue.I'm thinking the culprit could be the router + modem setup. My Streamyx has no problem getting NAT 2, and it's using a private IP. Cross checked my IP in ipconfig and "what is my IP." http://www.petenetlive.com/KB/Article/0000210.htm It looks like somekind of DMZ on thomson. I requested a public IP from Maxis and followed the step in the link. After that I rebooted my PS3 to refresh and noticed that public IP is assigned to my PS3. My games report that I have NAT type 1 !!! Give it a try. |
