It could be he is using some component or API that your PC does not have.

Anyway, you should try to understand what is what for and which related to which component.

Acey,


In your friend's A project, you try right click on "OpenDatabase" and choose "Definition", which will bring you to the function or sub that associate with that.

You may want to compare the differences between Component (Ctrl-T) and References (Project menu > References) between your project and the A project.

I'm not sure if this can help but I used OleDbConnection to connect to Access database in one of my project three years ago
But must import System.Data and System.Data.OleDb like this at the beginning of your code
<%@ Import Namespace="System.Data" %>
<%@ Import Namespace="System.Data.OleDb" %>

And create the connection like this

Dim conn As New OleDb.OleDbConnection("Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=\\\database\Database.mdb")

The source must be your source of database
