Well to me both have it's pros and cons. As I'm frequently playing with lag spikes, Glass Cannon is definitely NOT viable for me. My build lies between DPS & Tank. ~42k HP, ~350 ALLRES, 41% Crit Chance, 330% Crit Damage. With Gloom, I can survive good enough and top it up with Night Stalker to recover my limited Discipline.

In the end, it depends on the player - whether if they prefer the Full DPS build (dies from ANY single hits) or tank build (survive a few hits). To me, semi-tank is much more suitable.

P/S: I was once a glass cannon build but it's really frustrating to die from every single hits, especially if it's due to connection issues

Oh and back to topic relating to Magic Find, recently I tried to swap out my full set to Magic Finding set with reasonable DPS / HP / ALLRES.. managed to achieve around 120% MF with 40k HP, ~200ALLRES, same crit chance & crit damage.. can't take too much hits using this build but I guess it's fine provided that I avoid taking hits properly.

Chill out guys, each build have its own adv/disadv.. in the end it's just up to players themselves, no point flaming different builds just cause it's not suited to one's playstyle.

Here's some comparison (as semi-tanky build)

Farming set:
[attachmentid=2922063]

DPS set:
[attachmentid=2922062]

I do agree however, being able to take at least one hit helps tremendously especially that I'm always playing with laggy connections doh.gif

slow weapons are good as they consume ur hatred at a slower pace but deals a truck load of damage (cluster arrow - loaded for the  boar)...
but the first investment is of course the quivers with atk bonuses...
if u see the BiS list, those are the best upgrade u can get from the multiplicative stacking...
*
I agree with this, even though that Fast Weapon generates Hatred faster, but it's consuming it as fast as well.. tried to switch back to Bow but didn't like the unsteady crits.. switched back to xbow, unless of course there's a super-deal on bows/handbow laugh.gif

how bout the +XX max damage? is that important?
and also the - xxx min damage and - xxx max damage?
*
Those Min, max, damage range, bonus elemental damage, % damage, etc are already included in the damage range (e.g. 715 ~ 1032 damage crossbow with DPS of 961)

So you don't need to take those into consideration, look at the DPS (or damage range), and see any additional benefits (DEX, VIT, CRIT DMG, SOCKET, etc)

Lol. Blizzard give us sharpshooter to use rite, not for display purpose right ? Lolz. Or maybe i miss the word "For Display Purpose Only" in the skills description.. hmm.gif

I think what he meant is, the DPS shown with sharpshooter is too fake and not realistic at all. How long can you maintain 100% critical rate? 1 seconds and then another 30seconds of recharging later?

I do personally agree with this. No point showing the DPS with sharpshooter on as it's totally not realistic and sometimes even, not reliable. Best to show DPS with SS disabled for most accurate result...

Sharpshooter is very very good, but it has a bad reputation cos it tends to inflates displayed dps.
Its very good the best for opening aoe burst, but thats not all.

The bonus crit ticks start at 0 sec, so you get that 3% crit chance for free, and if youre a skeptic that the bonus benefits you for 1 sec only, thats already 6% crit chance.
Ppl says that its effects diminish by the more crit chance you have, but hey, guess what.Sharpshooter is a BONUS to crit chance.
The so called big diminishing returns only applies for the bonus per sec aspect of the skill, but NOT sharphooter as a crit chance entirely.
Crit chance also have diminishing returns(albeit a smaller percentage), yet you crank it up all the same. Why? Because its a source of dmg and its stupid not to grab it just because you get less increments.

I facepalm at those ppl who are looking to amp up their crit yet still look at sharphooter like its AIDS when they are basically the same thing.

Sharpshooter provides a nice buffer for ppl before they hit up a reasonable crit chance with their gear, but if you look at the glass half full, its a free 6% crit chance, and at a 300% crit dmg, thats 12% dps.

And I always saw "can I ditch sharphooter with my current crit chance" threads, but to be frankly speaking with higher crit chance, you can have a shorter wait time window between burst.
Its all about perspective.
*
True. But when the base crit chance is enough to sustain, sometimes there are alternatives to look at, as compared to the bonus critical chance. Skills like Night Stalker become interesting again at this point.

But unarguably, I agree with you that SS does help to increase the critical occuring rate regardless of base critical chance smile.gif

Hmm, cause he sounded like sharpshooter shouldn be there. Well, i am just a beginner DH, so i am open to suggestions and criticism  rclxms.gif

Well I guess it does sound a little like that after re-reading it. No offend here too! icon_rolleyes.gif

Ok,my stats without SS 72745.05 <- HERE.

This DPS with the items which I posted , getting another 1H xbow ..should hit 90k-100k without SS I guess.

Nice DPS there. Struggling to increase my DPS too but it feels like, kinda not worth at all. Any upgrades will cost me a bomb rclxub.gif

I have to agree with nightshade and deaththecannon.... Blizzard created that skill for a purpose and im sure many people are using it. Depends on individual preference. If people wants to show off their dps let them be. As long as those people can finish the game who cares if he uses Sharp shooter or not.

One mans meat another mans poison. Peace!
*
The thing is, no one's really interested with other's DPS which are inflated by the Sharpshooter skill.. most of us are more keen into looking at non-SS DPS, which are often more accurate and.. interesting laugh.gif
