HI EVERYONE,

We are inviting you all to our 12-hours Retro-Gaming Marathon (streamed live, online) for Charity in celebration of our birthdays.

Claudia (July14th), Hasan (July 16th), and Matheus (July 21st), three cancerians that happen to work together in a Cancer NGO in Malaysia, decided to use their birthdays and videogame skills to help poor cancer patients by raising funds for the cause.

In an extra effort, we decided to use our good-looks, sympathy and 8-bit avatars to go live on UStream during this marathon, so you can watch us live!

Our weapon of choice is the Wii Virtual Console, the easiest and most affordable way of legally purchasing retro-games.

If you are one of our friends or part of our families, and you want to make us really happy in our birthdays, do not give us any gifts, but contribute to our campaign instead!

If you are not our friend (yet), we appreciate your interest in our campaign even more! Let us know what is your opinion and what can we do to get your support. We would love to get suggestions to make our fundraising campaign better!

Terms and Conditions

Agreement

1. Entry into this raffle confirms your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Eligibility

2. This raffle is open to all donors of the “3 Cancerians for Cancer” Fundraising Campaign.

3. The Raffle commences on June 28,2012 and will conclude on August 14, 2012.

4. To join the raffle, participants must:
Make a donation to the campaign and enter a valid email address, First Name and Last Name when the donation is made through the campaign’s Simplygiving Page (http://www.simplygiving.com/3c4c).
The raffle will only be valid if the campaign reaches its target of RM 1,000. In case the campaign does not raise it is target, the item will be returned to the Corporate Sponsor (Lazada).
Every RM10 donated to the campaign qualifies a donor an entry to the raffle. (e.g. If a donor donates RM30, this entitles the donor three (3) raffle entries to be able to win the prize.) There is a minimum of RM10 donation to qualify, and there is no maximum amount of donation.

Qualification of Participants/Winners

6. The organizers of the “3 Cancerians for Cancer” reserves the right to request winners to provide valid legal proof of identity, proof of residence address and/or proof that they own the winning email address in order to claim their prize.

7. The organizers of the “3 Cancerians for Cancer”. retain the sole right to verify the validity of any raffle entry and to disqualify any entry which, in their opinion, is not valid or does not comply with the terms and conditions of this raffle. The organizers may also disqualify any entry which they believe resulted from conduct which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive, or generally damaging to the reputation of the Promotion and/or the event. A winner may also be disqualified if the organizers become aware that the winner and/or the winner's is of a type described in this clause.

8. The three organizers (Hasan Alkaff, Claudia Rivera, and Matheus Barrachi) and their family members up to the second degree of consanguinity and/or affinity are disqualified from this raffle.

The Prizes, and the Selection of Winners

9. There will be one (1) Winner who will receive one (1) Samsung Galaxy Advance.

10. The winner will be determined:
At the end of the campaign’s promotional period, each valid entry received over the duration of the receiving of donations (as stated in statement 3) will automatically be entered into the raffle draw.
One valid entrant will be drawn at random via electronic raffle to become the winner.
11. The winner will have complete liability of the prize once the prize has been received or claimed by the winner.

12. Prizes are not convertible to and can not be redeemed as cash.

Notification of Winners

13. The winner will be announced through the “3 Cancerians 4 Cancer” Facebook Wall, and the organizers will e-mail the winning donor via the e-mail address entered upon donating through the campaign’s Simply Giving page. The winner should respond to our e-mail within 3 working days from the date of the announcement with the winner using the exact same email address that he/she registered upon donating through the Simply Giving page, or else the prize will be forfeited and raffled off to a new winner.

14. Once the eligible winner has acknowledged his/her win and has replied to the announcement e-mail, the organizers would require a valid mailing address and may ask other information needed to be able send the prize to the winner.

Shipping and Customs for Winners outside of Malaysia

14. Shipping costs will be covered by the organizers of the campaign.

15. Should there be a winner outside Malaysia that wishes to receive the prize, the winner would have to bear the cost related to customs which may vary from country to country. In case the winner does not want to receive the prize, the prize will be forfeited and raffled off to a new winner.

Validation

16. Should an entrant's contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant's responsibility to notify the organizers by email prior to any raffle draw. Should the winning entrants have failed to notify the organizers of any changes made to their contact details during the promotional period after the draw has been made, the prize will be forfeited and will be given to a new winner to be re-drawn at random on an undisclosed date thereafter.

17. The decision of the organizers in determining the winners of the competition, after all validations have been secured and that the terms and conditions of the competition have all been satisfied, is final. No correspondences regarding the competition result after this decision has been made will be entertained.

18. The organizers of the campaign reserve the right to require the winners to sign a legal release in a form determined by them in its sole discretion, before the winner can physically receive the prizes.

19. The organizers of the campaign shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the competition and any prize/s, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The organizers are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate entry caused by the entrant or for any of the equipment associated with or utilized in this competition or for any technical error, including any omission, interruption, deletion, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries.

20. The organizers of the campaign and their associated companies assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries.

21. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to computer problems, unauthorized access, fraud, technical failures or any causes beyond the control of the organizers of “3 Cancerians for Cancer” which affect the administration, fairness or proper conduct of this promotion, the organizers reserve the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who is involved in such unlawful and/or unauthorized activity.
