If you put it on and take it out after engine start or while driving, it will beep.
Just beep few times it will stop already, not like those conti car beep non-stop. This post has been edited by tony: Jul 6 2012, 06:44 PM |

Any owner here replaced their stock spring with the "lowering Spring" ?
I am interest to get it installed but need some advises. Most of these spring shorter than stock by 30mm ~ 35mm. Hope someone here can give some advises on the pros and cons. |

QUOTE(mav3rick @ Jul 18 2012, 10:39 AM) its ok la.. there are some ppl who forgo the cash discounts because they trust their SA more.. no right or wrong.. personal preference.. most importantly is your SA delivers what he has promised you.. Agreed. All the discounts are useless if the SA cannot be trusted and can't deliver their promises. |

QUOTE(l2k @ Jul 19 2012, 08:59 AM) Since 1.8 is quite rev friendly (thanks to the new aluminium engine and efficient 6 speed G/box), you have to control your right feet very well to achieve <9L / 100km in city driving. No way i can achieve anything below 10L/100KM. Now don't care about the meter already, just drive the way i like.. |

QUOTE(michaelnct @ Jul 23 2012, 12:39 PM) All Sifus, U will get used to it. Booked my HE 1.8 yesterday at Serdang branch, still RM111,888.00. Still heart big heart small whether to buy it or not. Test drive the car, I must say is responsive and powerful. Electronic steering is too light to handle. May I know what are the "free gift" you all get in KL area? The salesman offer me 3M tint, full tank. That is..... After few weeks if u have chance to drive other car, u will feel like "wtf...this car no power sterling is it?" QUOTE(xterminator @ Aug 10 2012, 11:24 AM) How much is the full tank bro? Is there any nice bodykit that can melt my heart compare to civic? The only think i dislike is the GPS is too slow. Other than that, everything is above my expectations.Hi, need some advise from all owner.. Dont you worry will the resale value in 1st place? Although i will be using it at least 4 years.. Quality compare to civic? I know is elantra is sexy (Which I very agree compare to new civic) but in terms of quality that makes me worry.. (Please dun flame me) I'm serious with the car option i have now Second hand value is not my concern as i only took small amount of loan. Price hike and shortage of supply should help a bit on the second hand value i think. Some of my friends agree that if you slap an T or H logo into this car, it will be priced above 130K. QUOTE(xterminator @ Aug 10 2012, 07:13 PM) Well said there mate... I'm sure with that T or H tag it will be priced at RM120k+ I'm not that rich to change car you see.. Actually in my case I bought a Proton Persona Elegance which is 50k but the quality is not there.. Disc brake prob, ecu problem, heavy petrol drinker( not heavy foot) because I work in KL(city).. I can spent up to RM600 for petrol and maintainence which I'm not happy because it is Proton. On the other hand, my gf 2010 honda city is good which i love it (just the F**K power is not there) Since I have a little bit more budget I can think of elantra and civic.. More advise needed bro.. I need to think of resale value because of my backup plan which if i not satisfy the car I can sell it in short term which i can afford to lose around 8k only .. same with my rubbish proton persona.. I just SELL it away although i lost 8k.. because i just hate the customer service and quality.. Hopefully this time i can just find a right car and peace of mind for at least 4 years.. Hope u can all help me with more comment.. I just saw rexxstyling bodykit on elantra is damn nice in fb I never face any problem so far (got my HE since May) except the door rubbers making annoying sound which can be easily settled. As 666devil mentioned, engine sound rough at 1500rpm. The gear change is so smooth, You gotta give credit to Hyundai as this is their own 6AT gearbox. If your budget allowed, just get the 1.8. The leather seat of 1.6 is a bit hard. Oh ya, if you have extra budget, change the tyres once you get the car, coz the only sound u will hear inside the car is that annoying tyre sound. |

QUOTE(heng84 @ Aug 16 2012, 02:11 PM) Lol I purchased mobis projector headlamp from flea bay currently held by customs , any idea how much will I kana taxed? Seller posted value usd 100 and marked as gift I tot they only tax if the value is above RM500 ? Maybe they knew that the headlamp actual price is more than USD100 ? Automobil part should be taxed 10% + 5%, but be prepared to face the worst case 30% +10%. |

QUOTE(l2k @ Aug 26 2012, 01:28 PM) Guess they should really revise the way they test the fuel consumption. Engine wise, japanese maybe still has the edge in low end torque I guess. The exhaust hissing sound is normal I think, heard that sound on Tucson too.Yup, korean cars have improved alot, so far very satisfied with the elantra, more than 4k milleage, no rattling, vibration, very solid car. Assembly quality seems to be better than some japanese rival. Only one complaint is the exhaust hissing sound is quite obvious when on hard acceleration (with audio turn off), don't know if any owner notice that. Went to SC to check they say it is normal exhaust sound, but as I was on a rush, I didn't further question. |

QUOTE(bennedict82 @ Sep 21 2012, 11:33 AM) Both. He has to travel to Perai and BM sometimes.. but not much different I guess. Full tank how much of petrol? 40 Litres? Not sure full tank how many litres, some said 45, some said 48L. I always pump the petrol after the fuel light start blinking. FC always display 10.9LMostly I drive at heavy traffic hour at Island. Time to work still ok, but lunch time and after working hour is the worst. Imagine i can smoke 3~5 dunhill on the way home from georgetown area to tanjung bungah. Btw, to me, drive home after some beers around 2am, open the sunroof and side windows, have some ciggarates is the most enjoying thing i have with this car. |

QUOTE(l2k @ Sep 23 2012, 03:51 PM) just to clarify, sc only has 2 oils to choose, shell helix hx7 (10w-40) and helix ultra (5w-40). normally my sc will recommend hx7 due to 3 months or 5k service interval. It wont void warranty as shell is the"official oil". There is a new hx7-e 5w-30 though but my sc doesn't have stock. Eventually I opted for ultra as fully synthetic can retain oil viscosity better and has better sludge cleansing power than semi. bro..our service interval is 1k, 5k then 10k right ?i used helix ultra at 5k service (odo read 5k+) and i just noticed they written on service sticker, next service is 10k+, it should be 15k+ or 6 months right ? QUOTE(l2k @ Sep 25 2012, 05:09 PM) I service at Kah Bintang Pg, for me, their service is very good. I requested them to lubricate my side door due to occasionally slight vibration sound, but they ended up lubricate all 4 doors. The service advisor subsequently told me if I detected the sound again, just come and they will open up the door and see. This kind of service is much better to some 'H' brand SC which always use the phrase "this is normal". They also don't simply add in extra stuff like oil flushing without getting customer agreement. Just called service supervisor at sg.pinang, 3rd service is either 10k or 5 monts coz i used helix ultra on 2nd service.Ultimately, it will depend on which SC you go to service. Btw, i am very satisfied with their service and attitude too. This post has been edited by tony: Sep 26 2012, 12:11 PM |

QUOTE(Mindsetpower @ Oct 5 2012, 07:47 PM) Mine also got the logo changed and free tinted which cost RM450 with free smart tag. For once i thought Salesman are giving discounts to the car. How was the ride bro so far? Did you do add any cosmetic to the car like day light led? Very satisfied with the ride, relax and comfortable. Now I seldom felt angry when stucked in the traffic jam. I just changed the sports rim that's all. Not a fan of those DRL, planing to change the rear light to LED type by ExLED, still finding a way to avoid being taxed heavily.
