Electronic steering is too light to handle. May I know what are the "free gift" you all get in KL area? The salesman offer me 3M tint, full tank. That is.....

How much is the full tank bro? Is there any nice bodykit that can melt my heart compare to civic?

I know is elantra is sexy (Which I very agree compare to new civic) but in terms of quality that makes me worry.. (Please dun flame me) I'm serious with the car option i have now

I'm not that rich to change car you see.. Actually in my case I bought a Proton Persona Elegance which is 50k but the quality is not there.. Disc brake prob, ecu problem, heavy petrol drinker( not heavy foot) because I work in KL(city).. I can spent up to RM600 for petrol and maintainence which I'm not happy because it is Proton.
On the other hand, my gf 2010 honda city is good which i love it (just the F**K power is not there) Since I have a little bit more budget I can think of elantra and civic.. More advise needed bro..
I need to think of resale value because of my backup plan which if i not satisfy the car I can sell it in short term which i can afford to lose around 8k only .. same with my rubbish proton persona.. I just SELL it away although i lost 8k.. because i just hate the customer service and quality..  

Hopefully this time i can just find a right car and peace of mind for at least 4 years.. Hope u can all help me with more comment..

Guess they should really revise the way they test the fuel consumption. Engine wise, japanese maybe still has the edge in low end torque I guess.

Yup, korean cars have improved alot, so far very satisfied with the elantra, more than 4k milleage, no rattling, vibration, very solid car. Assembly quality seems to be better than some japanese rival.

Only one complaint is the exhaust hissing sound is quite obvious when on hard acceleration (with audio turn off), don't know if any owner notice that. Went to SC to check they say it is normal exhaust sound, but as I was on a rush, I didn't further question.

May I know what is the fuel consumption for this car if drive in city all the time.. Penang. Because my uncle prepare to get new car but he have to drive always and FC is important to him.

Both. He has to travel to Perai and BM sometimes.. but not much different I guess. Full tank how much of petrol? 40 Litres?

just to clarify, sc only has 2 oils to choose, shell helix hx7 (10w-40) and helix ultra (5w-40). normally my sc will recommend hx7 due to 3 months or 5k service interval. It wont void warranty as shell is the"official oil". There is a new hx7-e 5w-30  though but my sc doesn't have stock. Eventually I opted for ultra as fully synthetic can retain oil viscosity better and has better sludge cleansing power than semi.

I service at Kah Bintang Pg, for me, their service is very good. I requested them to lubricate my side door due to occasionally slight vibration sound, but they ended up lubricate all 4 doors. The service advisor subsequently told me if I detected the sound again, just come and they will open up the door and see. This kind of service is much better to some 'H' brand SC which always use the phrase "this is normal". They also don't simply add in extra stuff like oil flushing without getting customer agreement.

Ultimately, it will depend on which SC you go to service.

I was wondering did many of the Hyundai here got alot of discounts when you guys purchased the car? I got none but just some simple free gifts only...

Mine also got the logo changed and free tinted which cost RM450 with free smart tag. For once i thought Salesman are giving discounts to the car. How was the ride bro so far? Did you do add any cosmetic to the car like day light led?
