your 2843 queue number is general queue number or for 1.8 creamy white?
i booked on 22 July, general queue number 3477 and 672 for 1.8 creamy white.
Customer care told u that delivery estimated in Dec?

What do you think my queue number 2843 is for? I booked mine on 14th July 2012 and you booked yours on 22nd July 2012...does it make sense if its for 1.8 creamy white?

Didnt i say i just called customer service??? Who do you think would have told me the delivery is expected to be in dec??

drool.gif Things that noticed after using 5w30: it's better than 10w40, feel more smooth and very less clancking sound of timing chain in the first starting early morning  icon_rolleyes.gif

Bro, service centre uses 10w40? If yes, wont it void the warranty?

I agreed, those functions above can be managed by driver easily. I dont think you need the car to decide for you when to witch on the headlamp, when to operate the wiper etc. No doubt, HE is very sexy, modern in outlook. And Ford Focus is more focus toward performance and car handling pleasure. If you manage to try both car, you will notice the different. I am not the car expert but I believe continental car however is more solid than Korean car. No offence, just my personal's view....   smile.gif

The SA told me last time, when you get your car is very much depend on how many car the SD allocation to each distributor. i.e.:

Distributor A received 100 bookings
Distributor B received 30 bookings

If both only receive 20 car per allocation, who do you think will get the car 1st? Not sure is true, but sound logic.

Yup..thats true...my SA also told me that..i booked at glenmarie ( i know i should have avoided this place, as i only found out after booking it)...according to him, glenmarie is HQ, they will get all the cars first, solved their backlog then only allocate it to the dealers..thus if they are running behind schedule, i dont think the dealers will be any better...correct me if im wrong icon_question.gif

drool.gif Yeah..the SC itself choose the grade icon_rolleyes.gif

5w30 is chosen by SC? Whats the recommended grade in the service manual? What about warranty?

relax bro  sweat.gif
just to double confirm, coz i call on 18 sept and the customer service told me around nov. they base on my booking date then +4 month, so i wonder how come they tell u on dec. maybe mine is not latest info  tongue.gif
biggrin.gif will you still want to accept the delivery of your car by then? I will forgo my car and insist on getting a 2013 car even if i have to wait .

Are you considering buying another car?

P/s : i called them on 22nd of sept..so "technically" my info should be a "little" more updated than yours..but anyhow, they could be bullshitting everyone of us here..its their words against us, as we dont know what is really going on... sad.gif

Was just wondering, if bookings made in yr 2012 and delivery date is jan 2013 onwards, will we be getting 2012 or 2013 car? ( the delay is by SD and got nothing to do with us)
If is 2012 car, can we reject and request for a 2013 car instead , with the old pricing? ( assuming we nvr cancel our initial booking)

sorry to all elantra-ians, i had to bail-out as i have been waiting the 1.8 silver model for too long (since 14 July 2012) and heard next shipment is in Dec '12/Jan '13 which is ridiculous.

I'm in urgent need of a car so I've just made my booking cancellation today at Glenmarie sad.gif

You guys have fun with your ride yo.
