ive considered both...
i decided to go with Eye-Fi.
bcoz the software support would be btter....although i m just assuming...
but after buying...no regrets at all...
now i dun need to take out the SD card...the pics all stream direct to my Mac...
if i m out of the house...it will send to my iPhone.

I'm considering the Eye-Fi as well.

Does it drain the battery a lot?

Thanks for the response. biggrin.gif

Am tempted to get it. I think only one seller has stock in Garage Sales.

Or do you know any shops that actually sell it? Planning to get it actually for my NEX.

Actually, flu card is relatively new while eye fi has been around for a long time.

Wireless transfer is truly a very convenient affair. U don't even hv to bother about plucking out the card fr ur cam for transfers and u'll grow dependant on it before long. But some things needs to b pointed out.

1) transfers can take a while. Speeds r not exactly on par to direct transfers so don't expect anything close to it. Ur cam has to be on during that time.

2) the card does get abit hot in ur camera so to some, that may b an issue.

3) eye fi supports for cameras may still need some work done but their support is amazing. I remember I first used Eyefi for my Olympus ep3 and the support was terrible for it. I joined their forum n communicated directly with the support team. Within a week, they cme out a patch for me n I had no problems ever since even with my new OMD.

I've the flucard and I would say get the Eye-Fi.
With the Flucard, you need to purchase an additional app if you are using iOS.
It's free with Eye-fi.

Also the flucard drains my battery 500% faster.
It could drain my 500D battery within 1-2 hours. That battery can last me for 10 hours easily. The flucard also gets incredibly hot.

I'm using the Eye-Fi Pro X2 8GB with my 5D3 and also Olympus XZ-1. Had some trouble setting up initially but finally managed to solve it and now it's working perfectly. Very very convenient laugh.gif

But it's advisable to transfer only Small JPGs since it takes quite a while to transfer. Tested the wireless transfer rate and it's about 1MB/s. So if you're JPG is 5MB it'll take 5 seconds before it appears on your iPhone/iPad/laptop etc. smile.gif

Hi Guy, I just get a flu-card pro 8GB from KLCC RM150 yesterday after posting this topic (sorry didnt check ur replies and go buy),

my conclusion for this card is PLEASE DO NOT BUY!!!

i had tested many ways to get it work. here are my finding

1) Server upload
- fail to upload image to their free portal, i am using unifi, and i tried both portal user/pwd login and card user/pwd login, wait for very long dono is success or fail! anyway it never success.
- connect to internet (static ip) FTP server, it is a high-speed ftp server, still fail.
- success connect to local FTP server, success but slow, uploaded few photo then no more upload...mati oledi?

2) Direct upload (as AP) - this is the only working mode!!!!
-success, but not stable, sometime i cant find the SSID.
-Drain a lot of power when wifi was activated my new uTough 6020 battery drop from two bar to one red flashing bar sad.gif
-card get hot easily
3) control picture, sometimes not restore back even u take out and plug back the card.

4) firmware update is not stable, tested 4 time with one success.

5) Card reader sometime not recognize the card, some times it did... got ghost inside the card?

6) NO FREE apps and program to make ur life easier.

7) very noisy beeping, do not test in office else ur boss will come get u LOL

again PLEASE DO NOT BUY this card!!!
i had make a new order from ebay for new eye-fi. this flu-card is going to stick in my laptop sd card slot to transfer file to phone sad.gif

Thinking of getting the EYE-FI ProX2 but will the WPS(Geotagging) feature for EYE-FI ProX2 work in Malaysia?

geo tagging is useless unless u have wifi
meaning if ur card isnt connected to wifi/data service, there will be no geotag

I think it need not be connected to wifi to work.
However it does requires u to be within the range of registered wifi network.

http://www.eye.fi/how-it-works/features/geotagging

Not really a useful feature especially if you don't shoot in the city.
