The problem of buying from US on your own is the postage. Postage alone can cost you RM150~200. Then you need to pay commission to the forwarding service provider. Besides that, when you order from Google Playstore, you get charged 15USD for postage to US Address.
Means... 215 USD for 8GB and 265 for 16GB.
After conversion, it becomes around 870 for 8GB and 1028 for 16GB. You need to bear the risk of posting it from US. No one can guarantee you for the parcel to arrive. Even if covered with insurance, it's still a mess to deal with.
Conclusion is... buy from Garage Sales or website like iPmart.
Those in garage sales can sell cheaper because they send them into Malaysia in batch, postage is cheaper. Then they order from PlayStore more than one units at once. 15USD is then divided by maybe 3 Nexus 7. If you order alone, you pay 15 for ONE Nexus 7.
