App for tablet on Android platform is still not that many. Wait for a while...
Alway like to buy Nexus brand since it is much more "Hackable"

My main reason to buy Nexus 7 ( I already had Playbook 16Gb, New iPad3 16gb) is:
1) Size. I need 7" for more portability
2) Android platform. Since I already had experience on iOS
3) 7" IPS screen at 1280X800...Cant really pass on this awesome screen spec
4) Price is cheap.
5) My usage on tablet are Email (7" portrait typing is very ergo compare to 10" iPad), Flipboard, Twitter, RSS, Facebook (seldom), Stream movie from my PC.
6) Camera, SD slot, Big storage is not important based on my usage.
7) 3G for me is not needed. I can alway tether using my JB iphone.

I used shipito.com
U can buy yourself if you had credit card (malaysia). Register at google check out: checkout.google.com/
I manage to purchase using this method using my Malaysia credit card and shipping address is my Shipito address Suite #

Then U no need to pay those Buyforme or assisted purchased.

so u ordered 1 for yourself? what is the final cost?
*
Yea. I ordered 1 myself...Do check out earlier post where I posted a screenshot on my order.
Final cost? Not sure yet.. Postage will cause me USD60 using USPS Priority with insurance. USPS is the only courrier service that will have more chances to escape tax in Thailand. tongue.gif

Shipito Shipping calculator: https://www.inccontact.com/client/shipito/s...php?id_lang=eng
I choose Oregon because tax free saving more than extra shipping fee.

U do take note in order to use Shipito.com, U need to get your account verify to 70%. Also they will charge USD8.5 if U not sign up for their annual membership.

Sorry I'm not referring to you. I understand in your part it was HopShopGo that made the transaction for you and no proxy involved.

I was referring to Mikelanding, he bought the Nexus 7 using a malaysian credit card and if I'm correct, you would have to get into the Google Play device website first right?
It just that I didn't know before that you can even pay through a secure transaction USING a proxy as maybe Google Checkout security can detect that you are indeed using a proxy and therefore the transaction is rejected.

I don't really know as I have never tried it before. Nvm, carry on.
Nope. Have no interest in bulk order. Just searching the cheapest way to get a Nexus 7 for myself aha.
There is someone though in our garage sale doing bulk and taking pre-orders. You can search around.

Hi,

Well I tried to order another unit using google wallet with my credit card tied to it.

1. Initially the card was with my Malaysia billing address.
2. With USProxy I am able to go to Google Play to pre order
3. Check out with google wallet and it denied because card address is Malaysia.
4. Went into google wallet and update address to US HopShopGo address
5. Logon to google play and preorder then check out completed smile.gif
6. Got email confirmation from google play ... hurray  rclxm9.gif
7. 10 minutes Google Play cancel my order and suspend my wallet account
8.  reason - cannot verify card address  blush.gif

Hmmmm so for this to work you must have a Google Wallet account with credit card that already has been verify. So bro gin&tonic looks like no bulk order from me sad.gif

jackdon.

Just to clarify more.
My google wallet was long time setup. More than 2 years ago. First Purchase is May 2010. I not sure about that time need any address verification.
I did remember correctly that I use US VPN with bogus US address to register.

From below, I got Malaysia address AND Shipito US address..
user posted image

My steps to purchase Google Nexus 7 are:
1) Add in Shipito US address in my address book.
2) Use US VPN. Got to Google Play shop.
3) Make order. Select US address.
4) Check out using my google wallet.

Hope this clear thing out.

how much you paid for forwarding service ?

I will choose Shipito Airmail Priority. Should be around US40 that included Shipito handling fee, postage and insurance.
Time stated is 8-15 days to Thailand. I saw a thai blogger using same Airmail Priority to ship Kindle Fire (almost same weight and sized). He mentioned took around 1 week+ to reached

Updated:
Package had arrived at Shipito (early morning at Oregon warehouse).
The postage fee seem less than I expected. US32.99 (Handling fee, Postage fee + insurance) thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
Now is pray they arrive safely, timely and no Tax. smile.gif

Got and email from HopShopGo, it seems that Google does not allow shipping to HopShopGo so they had arrange to have it to another address and now redirecting back to HopShopGo and it should arrive anytime now. smile.gif which is why the delay, looks like many people are using shipforme and buyforme services.

i tried it as soon as I reset my device and used superfreevpn to connect to Play store. Also make sure all your location services are turned off. Works on mine using my only google account.
*
Ya. I did disable all location services.
After reset, skip all setting as much as possible. Key in your VPN setup first before click the Play Store.
