My N7 3.5mm port is faulty. Push earphone jack all the way, youtube video pause. Audio can only function intermittently with jack inserted quarter way in. No earphone provided out of the box. Tried on 2 earphones. Damn audio/video is my priority when buying N7. Hardware problem? RMA is inconvenient here with US device.

Yes still following the thread. I have an issue with the 3.5mm earphone jack. Need to make sure it all good before i root. So far my device is A-ok without other issues as yet. BTW thx for the noob video tutorial. TS shud put it on the 1st page. I think u shud get the device with a lower price than me. Good luck..

You obviously never try amoled screen before,

I'm used to amoled on galaxy s2
Every time I look back at nexus after I reply a SMS on my s2
Feel its screen very washed out. And pale

When I look at the iconia its like black n white screen to me.
Some phones like atrix, sensation, really bad, even tough their resolution higher, but the colors are terrible.

Amoled pown LCD. Period.

But among LCD, I don't think nexus 7 is the worst.
I put it side by side with my gf ipad2, tested the game cut the rope, and it looks pretty much the same in terms of contrast.

Anyway its just ,my opinion.

For a person who spend majority time using amoled screen, the LCD will look terrible. That's how I feel during the first few days with my nexus 7.
S2 = normal
N7= terrible

But nowadays I use my tablet more than my phone,
Start to feel that
N7= normal
S2= super vibrant & nice

One thing for sure though,
Nexus 7 is the BEST android device yet.
Fast fluid and amazing. Equally smooth compared to iPad.
One thing that I've been jealous of my gf.
My previous tab10.1 looks like a joke next to iPad, so lag even with ics.

Just now drive all the way to ASUS service center, the engineer said is the 1st time see Nexus 7 for him...

He didn't ask for the warranty card or purchase date...just write down the Series Number on the form and log a request into the system...no garenty when can get it fix, he said will try to ask for spare part from Singapore, if there non then ask from Taiwan pula...

Is haptic feedback/vibration on key press supported in N7? Can't find my way around to enable it. Or is my unit defective?

Even thumb keyboard when enable also nothing happen.
