Guy's colognes doesn't come in just one type of range. Though it doesn't produce various ranges like the feminines ones but i guess you divide your cologne into three different usage would be dim fit. The casual one, evening one and the special type for purposeful occasion like a formal cocktail party for example.

for casual, normally male will use aquatic type or the marine type as it is fond in the asian societies where a lil fresh plus a sense of citrus suits best. Sweet seems safe too but masculinity doesn't sound in tandem with it therefore most will go for spicy type.

Evening. I would say sean john, terre d hermes would do the trick in my opinion and most men would say spicy will do the trick. Depends on the emotion on that evening to set the tone. I'm sticking with hermes.

Special occasion. That will be best if you opt for niche cologne such as guerlain the niche range, creed (sincerely the best out there) and possibly Amouage (not many will like this type, imo but its niche and special). Be warned, it could blow your pocket deep.

My husband just got me the Annick Goutal Petite Cherie EDT and it's just simply divine! Highly recommend this to every girl because it smells SO good, but would recommend to get the EDP as it will last longer.
