So guys, usually in our workplace or among our friends, we have 1 or 2 people among them who are pro football or football analyst. These people know what's what in football down to the team and each player.

However one thing common I notice among them is that they always say football now is controlled by bookies.

How does that work? Does that mean that the bookie will have to bribe both team? I really can't figure out how it works.

Can football pros explain?? Half buckets also can.

also, they usually control low profile leagues. easier to manipulate.

match fixing is when the bookies pay certain players in certain team to create a certain result.

also can bribe the refree to favour one team over another to create the desired result.

if you say 0% chance of bookie influence is fake de. but big games controlled by bookie is hard as football players are paid very high and very hard to be bribed. unless they have gambling issue then most likely can be bribed lo.

if u can detect which game bookie influence then u rich man liao no need work. lol

when will ppl ever learn that fixing matches is pointless for the bookies because punters can choose to bet on either teams...and then theres the case of bola jalan....if ppl caught on that the match is fixed they will taruh all their money on the 'fixed 'team and tahpao the stupid bookie to kingdom come.

football betting works by betting on goals scored..not matches won...so i heard...

normally its the small leagues that are fixed. less ppl pay attention and the players aren't easily swayed by money.

Although you have to admit that Serie A is partially fixed, because of the pervasive hand of the mafia upon it. But I think it's more about currying favour from the referees who dont get paid as much as the players.

just an easy excuse for losers. u know la these feles dunno nuts bout football. ask them who they support they will say Man Utd (now probably Man City). then during EUROs n WC pandai2 go bet without any kind of research. den when lose $$$ blame the whole "football controlled by bookies" thing.

so when frens/family ask they will just use that excuse. coz no one can confirm or deny. so d normal reply will be "yalor".

match fixing are mostly done by punters (i mean big punters that usually tied to mafias)....and bet heavily on licensed bookie (legal) especially asia (licensed or not licensed)...that's why u see the odds suddently changed dramatically....that's what i heard of...maybe i'm wrong
