I lived in the US for 4 yrs la. I know there are new versions out but the overall design is mostly the same. Only changes are slight colors and new security features. Our Malaysian Currency change design how many times dy? Take the RM10 as example. How many different variations do we have? What's the point?

USD changes only enlarge the presidents head and add in security features only. Back and stuff keep the same.

The best thing is they do things without proper planning lor. Take the RM2 note for example, first introduce, then remove.
Or the RM20 notes, last time got, then take out from circulation, now put back in. No proper planning wan meh whether the RM 20 or RM 2 notes are needed or not?

actually there are. even one of the changes include a shifting of the portraits to a different position. what remains, however, is the colour, which is why many people say they never change.

regradless, each design change comes with more or less a similar redesign in the printing press, templates, etc. even a little change requires you to craft new master templates.

im saying there are significant changes to the us currency (and many other currencies also, like the uk - i prefer the older 50 quid notes). saying that the us currency remains the same is untrue. even the design on the latest one is different from before.

the reason y gomen change the design is tat they wan to print more money.... more money printed... more money they have although citizen doesn know it... the value of the money tat they are holding is now valued less than it used to be...
