Curious to know what type of body shampoo and shampoo are you using for your little ones...

And also the after bath, what products do u put on baby? Powders, lotion, baby oil, drapolene cream etc... rclxub.gif

My baby's bath with Johnson's head to toe. After bath I only put baby powder on him. (not really sure if he needs the other products as mentioned above)

Yea..using Johnson from head to toe coz i love the smell wub.gif

After shower usually put baby lotion all over his body..massage abit..he like it tho..hehe..then abit Drapolene cream if any irritation occur at his bum-bum or crotch area.

I put 'Minyak Telon' on his tummy & under his feet.. Malay believe to cure gassy & wind in his body also tummy la. Yu Yi is too hot for him..if wear kena rashes sad.gif

Owhh..yea..i also put abit lotion behind his ear..to make it softer if not easier to get all dried up and bleed.

Lastly..powder on his face & abit for tummy also his behind. Wallahh..siap..wangi wub.gif

Try not to use powder. I did use powder for our baby and the doctor advice against. Better use lotion. The powder can cause allergen reaction.

We use johnson2 head to toe. Now change to Pureen yogurt head to toe "apple flavor"

Hi Daddies and Mommies,

I personally LOVE Johnson and Johnson's Head to Toe Baby Bath and have stocked up a lot whenever I see them on sale. Anyway, I saw a news report yesterday from Hong Kong and UK that there're two chemical substances found in Johnson and Johnson's Baby Shampoo which have cancer risks.

Follow this URL to read the news: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-...ampaigners.html

I guess it's ONLY the Baby Shampoo contains those? But that scares me a little.

Anyway, here's what I use on my lil one:

Shower: Sebamed Baby Wash (when she's below 3 months). Then I switched to J&J Head to Toe, and alternate with Pureen Baby Shower.
Shampoo: Pureen Baby Shampoo (after she's 6 months cos she had very little hair before that)
Baby Powder: Mei Mei Liquid Baby Powder (I like this alot, sometimes when there's redness on her pee pee, I just use this one and the redness goes off the next day)
Nappy Cream: Drapolene (if needed)
Baby Oil: Yu Yi Oil (for stomach) and Pureen Baby Oil (for her head, it's taught by my Filipino maid last time to prevent from "wind")
Baby Mouth Wash: I forgot the name, but it's a kind of edible liquid (or oil?), whereby I'd use a piece of cotton, wrap it around my index finger, wet it and apply a little on top to wash my baby's mouth and tongue.

Sometimes, when she has rashes, I'd use Sebamed Baby Facial Cream (if it's on her face) or Sebamed Baby Lotion (on her body). I like them alot.

Some of the Johnson's Baby Shampoo contain methylparaben, propylparaben and even ethylparaben too!
It's good to read the labels of some of the Johnson's products and know the compounds...
Anyway it's quite ridiculous cos apparently Johnson's has those formaldehyde-free formula that's being sold in other countries like Japan, Australia to name a few.
Sigh, even baby products are not spared the toxic chemicals.

I'd better check if other brands' products contain these hmm.gif

But that piece of news I read the other day really does concern me...

My daughter use Eubos oil or "Fu Kua Teng" for bath. She has eczema and cannot use those baby oil & etc. Daily, we use eubos oil, only once a while we boil the "fu kua teng".

I am not sure if I have done it OK... I usually shower my little one 2-3 times a day. Depends on the weather and his activity. But out of all the shower, I only use shampoo/body bath once. Other times I only use plain water. Reason is I think it is more natural to use just plain water. smile.gif
