Samsung Galaxy S III will fly to various countries and will be introduced with different model number and name but right now in the Asian market we see this device coming out with four different variants. Also Galaxy S III in India will release the device in two different version of generic GT I9300 and GT I9300G.

that's why it's better to get the phone NOW..

these international I9300 will be much better supported by the android community.. rclxms.gif

Is anyone experiencing a bit of lagging whenever you press the home button on your phone? Mine is quite obvious especially when it returns to the accuweather widget.
*
normal slow widget redrawing issue with touchwiz

anyway.. to speed up little more.. just disable s-voice
go s-voice > left soft key > settings > uncheck "launch s voice"

Hmmm...any weather widget that might load faster? Anyway, if I disable s-voice will it improve the speed of the phone? Coz now it lags up when I press the home button once not twice to run s-voice tongue.gif

Feels quite weird that I see the phone lagging smile.gif
*
u only disable the s-voice launch.. but u can always use s-voice by clicking the icon itself..
when u press the home button once, the phone actually waits and see if u want to launch the s-voice..
so when u disable this double-tap launch.. it will be faster by a fraction of seconds..

just try it and feel the difference.

guys.. any idea how to navigate to framework-res as mentioned in step 1?

can i just browse my phone using astro file manager and edit the power_profile.xml file using text editor?
the file can be found at

"/system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/xml/power_profile.xml"

but i couldn't access this pathway using my laptop.. weird @.@

QUOTE(Loreburner @ Jul 2 2012, 06:26 PM)
Is anyone else experiencing extreme battery drain? It finished charging around midnight and when I woke up around 9 the battery left 75% with no apps running, no wifi, no bluetooth etc. The only thing running was the alarm. So i checked my battery status, the screen is taking up 40% and cell standby also 40%. I already followed all the tips to save battery for the display but its still the same.

Also for cell standby, I don;t get why it is so high. So i googled it, apparently there's a bug? Which can be fixed if u root your device. But I know nuts (total tech noob here) to rooting and I dont want to void the warranty.

I thought of sending it back to a samsung centre but there are problems with my e warranty registration which i have emailed samsung and they havent replied.

did u put your phone under the pillow when you sleep?
or place somewhere with low signal?

coz phone will try to search for stronger signals and will consume ur battery in the process..
happens to me all the time when i'm in no signal zones during my work

YES my phone is back with me finally  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif
they changed the SIM module. now the SIM undetected problem is gone. no wonder when i first day bought my phone and i insert my sim card it doesn't request for password, its faulty from day 1 doh.gif . now on first boot up it request for the password
the good thing is they din perform a full wipe. so basicly all my stuffs still intact. now all i need to do is to re-root and flash back custom kernel
