I created all my contact as Google contacts previously and when I changed to the S3, it automatically downloaded and updated for me. I have 0 contacts on SIM and phone now.

U can try to export everything as VCF and upload to your Google account. It will help to search for duplicates and allow you to delete them too, IIRC.

yup, i know what you mean, just copy phone number and name on paper, and rewrite at gmail, i dunno fast method, what i can say, this only way to do as far i know..
