Guys,

Need some help. Please put up photo on your PING to BF SG server (sorted by lowest ping).
I have problem playing BF3 after changed ISP. All setup remain same except diff ISP (with their own router)


ISP : Maxis
Plan : Fiber Home @ 10Mbps
Location : Kelana Jaya, PJ
Snapshot Taken : 25/06/12 @ 8.30pm
Lowest PING : ~200ms
Highest PING : ~380ms

lol maybe maxis routing sux

Same as me...but i'm using maxis broadband...
I only play at hk servers because of much lower ping...

my location bandar saujana putra elite highway..jauh dari town shah alam.ip range 175.143.xxx.xx.maxis fibre also available here.but i dont think to change it

lulz im at shah alam and same range IP with u..

i get 10ms on sg servers , using time broadband.

sg server average got 50-100ms
but really unstable while playing...rubberbanding all the way~~~~
using stimix 1mb

well...anyone can tell me the IP for Multiplay (the first server) need to know which ISP

when u click server name, can see server address right?

Unifi 5mb. Location at KL setapak. IP 175.142.xxx.xx

Server address :216.185.109.70:20267. You need to click the server name and go inside the detail as per pictar to c the server address. not sure on which ISP though.

I am having similar issues when connecting to SG servers. Then again its screamyx 1mb.... Does changing to Unifi solve the issue?

Other then Fragnetics servers, all other servers for me ping at 80-100+

Hey bro, you probably having the same issue as all the TM line last time. Its because they are routing to HK then back to Singapore. Ask them look into this and give them proof. Get PingPlotter, ping the the servers. try this ip of the server by MBT.

216.185.109.67

EDIT: forgot to mention, run the ping test for at least 15 min to 30 minutes to show them proof that the hop is going through to HK. MBT filed a complain to TM before and looks like they fixed it (no news, but looks good now). So you can try too. I am planning to change to Maxis, so i am hoping this don't become an issue for me.

How do i take this up to Maxis?

Use this data and send it to maxis. Tell them about the huge hop, u see the 40ms suddenly become 250 ms? thats the hop they need to fix.

it's weird sometimes
yesterday i was playing in some jp server
my ping constantly show 93
however i kena kicked for ping > 200 after playing for around 10min

i remember when maxis offered me their high speed fiber line and i asked about if they can guarantee similar high speeds for international sites...needless to say the sales consultant had nothing to say.

Using maxis fiber also. The ping is seriously sucks. Never get below 200 for all servers. Most of the time 300+-

Lucky I didn't switch from Unifi.

Guys, I just moved over from BF3 PS3, I just installed BF3 on my pc but it I'm currently stuck at Initializing Game at my browser. Did some research and I ticked "Run as admin" and even "compatibility for windows 7"

and the game didn't even start. couldn't possibly be driver error since I played it on my pc previously (ahem version) just fine. Your input is appreciated..

EDIT: Finally got it to run, click on the repair option in Origin.

If stuck forever, quit your browser, terminate Origin and end "BF3.exe" from your task manager. Run browser again to launch.

average ping in US is 250ms
while for EU 200ms
