Hi Gentlemen, this Sunday PJ Half Marathon would be my first attempt on completing 21KM. There are a few things I need advice from experienced runners here. I will be on LSD to finish the course.

1) Should I eat clean and moderate protein such as egg white 1 day before?

2) Should I have breakfast before the run and drink lots of water to prevent dehydration?

3) Should I take a bottle of Gatorade with me while running?

4) Should I perform adequate stretching 1 day before?

Please share your comments and suggestions.

Thank you!

Well, I have participated in Standard Chartered 10K & Adidas KOTR 2012 10K so far. Apparently, I am also an active sports man and have a jogging habit weekly. Despite the healthy routine of food intake and sufficient water intake daily, my concern is how my body will react with 21KM during and after. Worried that cramp will come in after 10K. Normally after I complete 10K I will feel a bit like 'Pengsan' feeling, can see purple sparkling stars and light headed.

90boyz, which means sufficient carbohydrate is essential for runners? Ok I'll make an effort to do stretching daily. 3 slices of whole grain bread with peanut butter an hour before the run; is that too much and water will make the bread bloat? Ya, must drink-up every 7KM. B the way, are you running PJ Half Marathon too?

tenno: Have to agree with you. Initially, I thought was just a Finisher Medal and that's it. Until I see runners walk around with 100PLUS and Milo cups, then curiosity sparked in my mind. So me and a friend have to walk around and search for the drinks and bread. And the

Hi, anybody here running in this Sunday Enviro's Run and World Diabetes Day Run?smile.gif I am quite nervous with PaceSetters 30KM as it will be my first 30KM run, previously I did PJ Half Marathon 21KM in 2.30 hours. Run and walk also wear me out. How many participants for this years PaceSetters?

Personally, I enjoy and like to run and it is part of my exercise besides other sports and moderate workout. I run with myself and not competitive runner. Also enjoy watching people run and observe their movement and behaviour when struggling, haha. Moreover, the beautiful scenery and all get together and run for a good cause is that motivates me to take part every month.
