Hey guys, dun run so fast when start. Run steady for 15mins when start. Save your energy for last n let your legs and body prepare for run in these 15mins. My friend gave me this tip n I applied to my every HM & FM. I feel very comfortable n run strong after 10km

is there any shop selling Spibelt running belts at Penang? or any recommended shop for selling other running pouch?

i am looking for GPS watch like Garmin/Polar as well, would like to know if Penang have any good recommended shop selling it.

looks like out of topic, i am sorry.

Thanks in advance.

I bought garmin watch at auto city (garmin dealer) no discount. I saw "the marathon shop" in pj got discount. Maybe u can purchase online if u wan to buy garmin watch from the marathon shop.

You guys got problem on register the parit puntar run ?
I called up the organizer last few weeks complaining on the registration error . They told me the event might postpone to next year due to the road condition. So bad ;(

Based on my personal experience - the Philips one not very durable (or maybe I am not careful) both side of the headphone rubber holder broken, no choice and I remove them. After that, not easy to align to the ear.

Now, go for the Adidas/Senheiser MX680 (note: amazon sell it much cheaper)
---------------------------------------------

Last Sunday- went for LSD, into 2nd km already felt like something not right, at 4km - whole body felt like @#$%%^, stop running. At night, have fever ...... no wonder, luckily listen to the body and not push it. Better now.

Not to worry about that, brother. Just try to run more slow a bit, keep thinking this time only target on finish not target on pace time. Me also same in first time running 21KM, smile.gif.
*
thumbup.gif totally agree !!
The target for fist timer is to finish without injury. Enjoy the run, dun force urself to compete with the runner infront of u or a chick that over take u.

I'm also the same aim like johny last time. U will soon addict to run when u enjoy on ur 1st run. Cheers !

Yes,me too flex.gif
Never take gel from organizer. I will tapao it for my training.
But be careful when tapao, last year one gel broken n all my waist pouch get dirty when I ran my FM in Singapore. I saw one runner keep the opened gel into the pouch from organizer even didn't notice while running during SCKL.

Hey, guys. Finally I done my DIY Huaraches!!! Yeah!!! Yeah!! Seriously it is not that easy to done it with just follow the youtube video (maybe I`m dump). Now, only left test running. Need test it`s soles can lasting or not. I`m a newbie runner, but usually  I will run at lease 5KM, so I will update here again after done the test.

By the way, this Huaraches is only 3mm thick. I think  it sure can feel the ground like barefoot.

But this week, I think can`t test it, because of my foot was injured since last sunday PJ Half Marathon, Maybe I will try it with walk walk first.  drool.gif

thks for pic sharing, will only collect this shirt from friend next week when travel down to KL. drool.gif
Me facing the problem too, some times cant reach running target i set, anyway i will just slow down abit to make sure i can finish the run of the day. But when in very bad condition i'll just quit doh.gif n come back again tomolo. sad.gif

QUOTE(leanman @ Oct 8 2012, 09:19 AM)
For beginners, its better to run on time rather than distance. Set target for yourself on how much time you want to run, say 45 mins and go for it. forget about the distance, when you are comfortable, slowly increase the time. From there, you change focus to the distance. Why? because each, diff terrain plays a part. IF you run on hilly, say 45 mins give you 6km but on flat it gives you say 7.5 km. so forget about distance, what you want is continuous of 45 mins of training/running regardless of the distance

good advice ! rclxms.gif
