QUOTE(RedShirt @ Sep 12 2012, 03:02 PM)
Thanks man.

Although I am not a fast nor experienced runner, I enjoy starting from way at the back because I find it very motivating to overtake people in front as they slowed down from their initial "sprint". I just kept a consistent pace and watch myself overtaking them groups by groups.  biggrin.gif "one more group, just one more group" and before I know it, I am targeting the next group ahead.

And I tell myself, I may not be the fastest but I am faster by this many and just kept on going,

Chip time 01:14:56.52
Gun time 01:17:32.27

Main target is to go below 1hr for 10km.
*
I will be motivated when there is people who overtake me from behind, especially those veteran runners. Happens a lot of time before when I was running at garden. Ended up pacing with them throughout the whole run.

Authorization letter for Nike Run. We create our own template or does Nike have their own?

Never mind. Found it.

Hi Sifus,

Normally before you guys run the 10KM/HM/FM, what do you guy eat right before the event? And you guys normally eat 1 hour prior to the event or  may I know what should be the buffer time for us to take our meal before the run?
*
My previous run, I had maggie goreng + hot milo + one slice of banana. Damn unhealthy sweat.gif

Hey guys, normally I only managed to run 5KM non stop, and for these 2 days straight I've been running 6KM for each running session. This morning, I am starting to feel even more pain and sore muscles at the back of my lower legs and thigh in comparison to the post of first running session. Should I continue to run tonight or should I rest? For the record, usually I don't feel pain or have sore muscles after running 5KM.

Take a rest and enjoy football games tonite! Nothing beats live EPL games biggrin.gif

I'm new here.
I usually run 3-5km in the morning just to keep in shape.
Thinking of getting a heart rate monitor for run to ensure I stay in within my target heart rate . Is it worth it? I don't see many using it?
*
GPS watches today comes with heart rate monitor. Not sure if there shops selling only HRM. I might be wrong. Do check the first page of this thread. TS got posted some info bout it.

Unless u have history of unusual heart beat/rate, I really think it is not wise to spend money on dis HRM thingy when u r still new, just run first, joint the group to get more feedback, opinions and till u really think it is necessary then buy. spend money to get a shoe that suit u is much wiser.

True. True. See see after a few months, you felt no love for running already and it would be a waste if you already bought a HRM thing.
