QUOTE(BartS @ Jun 26 2012, 11:38 AM) Posted by kristof at AW fourm» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Dear all,
in contrary to Honda, Punch Powertrain will set up a local Branch to support Proton on all problems that Proton would face with the CVT. furthermore our guys will travel around to fix or determine problems around malaysia, together with the proton Group after sales.
regarding the ECU remapping, i cannot release info yet. I can tell you Proton and Punch work together on the subject and will come out with a solution for the sluggish feel shortly. As i mentioned before we have to meet fuel consumption standards as well. Proton can make the car feel very fast, I can assure you that (tests) but we need a good balance and that takes some time... . yup. was having a chat with my mech engineerin fren in proton ytdy. he mentioned that proton is working on a new ecu remap and it will b ready by merdeka. d D mode will be enhanced that would almost be like S mode. so after this D and S would not be much different. we will know in august lar. lolz.

Ytdy i serviced my car 5k km. i complained bout my cranking sound which only occurs during morning or after long periods of not turning on the car. SC's comment was cant find fault in car unless i keep the car overnight in proton for them to turn it on in d morning. sigh...

QUOTE(BartS @ Jul 12 2012, 09:21 AM) May be better if you had filmed a short video to show them. With visual aids, it would hard for them to refute it. Btw, what sort of engine oil did you have in there prior to the 5K service? I'm wondering if engine oil viscosity plays a part in this not too sure on the brand but semi synthetic la.
