QUOTE(dares @ Jun 24 2012, 02:34 AM)
Idiots like him can't even see that the Vios is in same segment as Saga and Myvi, and even a RM50k Saga out-specs a RM75k dugong.

You tell him, he wants to compare? at least compare to a Forte. It'll make him look less stupid. Oh wait, Forte 1.6 is at least RM10k more expensive (but still better than a G-spec Dugong) . Toyota C-seg? Altis is at RM100k cheapest. Dugong vs. Preve, HAH!!

Sorry, even if he's your friend.

I concede. I forgot the VeJayjay Vios J is a god car.
*
They always praise Vios like its a God Car , God Brand whistling.gif
QUOTE(godthum @ Jun 24 2012, 01:22 PM)
Ask all the Vios= GOD car owners to experience Preve themselves. Sit in the car and also drive it, tell them to comment after that...i can only say i'm very impress with my Preve.
They might be too shy to admit the car is very good and will just said it is still POTONG, not T or H branded car...
All my friend who asked me why not buy Vios, why buy Potong, lousy brand la...
After i get my car and fetch them around, all feedback are very good, all are full with praises...
But i do try to response back in a conservative way, i said "still POTONG mah, not sure later got QC or reliability issue or not, but it comes with 5 years warranty now, that's why i bought it..." haha...
*
I think I should do that laugh.gif

QUOTE(nicgoh @ Jun 24 2012, 10:19 PM)
just test drove preve today! it was the first batch of preve..

serious sluggish problem.. wind noise at the C pillar was terrible >.<

and it has the ovw problem.. "krek" sound from the first start..

i was able to test it on highway.. able to hit 150 easily.. the car was so stable and i dont really feel like i am cruising at such high speed! good!

other than the few problems.. preve is a good car..

just a question.. is the latest batch still has the problems that i mentioned?

members pls kindly update me.. the thread was moving too fast.. cant keep up >.< thx in advanced!
*
Not sure about others but for my batch CN 58xx, I don't really feel the sluggish..Tuned to be better i think.... Wind Noise , Yes it's still there...But can be solved by sending to SC. The "krek" sound only happened once for me. After that for many days been driving, the problem didnt occur again

mine is 68XX...no sluggish issue...engine start, 1.5-1.6k rpm ady start moving slowly, pedal until 1.8-1.9k rpm car moving normal speed....as i observe myvi, vios, civic, all also at the same rpm setting when car moving...even estima tune at same rpm.....
*
Yeap, that's why I guess the newer batches even like mine 58xx also didnt had the sluggish issue. Proton did listened to our complains biggrin.gif

With the size of preve, side parking may not be advisable.
*
I just did it the 1st day I got the car LOL. I think as long u follow the formula (thought when u were learning in driving school)..Its quite fine to do the side parking

QUOTE(ameiruddin @ Jul 3 2012, 11:05 AM)
dark adam, can you describe the 'crank sound'? it is 'extended cranking sound'? more than 3 'crank, crank, crank' ? blush.gif

Added on July 3, 2012, 11:09 am
congratz bro! finally u got it....who will 'break-in/run-in' 1k the car? i thought u most of the time will be onshore, rite?  tongue.gif
*
Mine it cranks 3 times like how u said...Btw I also notice..when it happened...The driver door was open and the interior light is ON. When it cranks 3 times, the interior light actually blinks 3 times until the crank is gone lol

Guys I just took a video of My Preve cranking sound. Please tune your volume higher as the video sound is quite soft...Please notice the RPM meter and the Engine cranking sound too. Would this be considerate as OVW problem?

QUOTE(BartS @ Jul 9 2012, 07:42 PM)
That's weird. Tachometer speed dropped from 800 to 400 rpm when it occurred. Not sure what it is. If I have to venture a guess, I would say overcrank. Best send it to SC asap.

Btw, how did you anticipate it would happen? Does it happen all the time for you? According to bro Mat, if it happens regularly throughout different times of the day, it should be OVW.
*
Yea the RPM dropped when it occurred then go back up again. it was a rainy day so yea cold weather. Therefore I could kinda expect it would happen then I decided to take a video of it and yes it happened lool. 3rd time happening

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Jul 9 2012, 07:50 PM)
This is OWV sound...
*
Thanks for clarifying it Bro, I'll sent to SC and get it checked. See what would they say about it

guys please be honest with me;
do u sagest me to buy preve or not? and why
*
For me, I would say Yes BUT maybe not now, wait for the new batch which the current issur is solved like the Wind Noise, OVW and others. OR you can maybe wait for the SE variant to release which I think by then most of the problem are solved. Preve is a car which is really value for money. For 73k , u get such specs..U can't even find it in a almost 85k+- Vios. It's a great car. If i were given a choice again, I would still go for Preve. However, if you wish to have a non-local car. I would say Kia Forte is the best bang for buck...85k with all the features packed inside

Not All Myvi Owners are like that. Every kind of cars also will have drivers like that...It's just that because the number of Maivee on the road is so much...The probability of meeting such drivers is higher smile.gif
