from a friend in kuching bro. he quite ice. suddenly change his hobby to extreme sport huhu.

Huhu quite high end ar you play with scans. U also using scans but using the Illuminator series model D3004/660000. Got mine 2nd hand and seriously the tweeters made huge difference. Once you go large format won't go back to small format

What's your base car btw and your tuning all done by yourself or your installer tuned for you? Your setup seriously looks damn good man. Ship your car here la

Anyway not dare yet to play active. Dont want to ruin my precious speaker if anyone kacau setting hehe. Anyway for now im bridging channel 1,2 and 3,4. for 100w each channel to power rear alpine type R speaker. Channel 5,6 running independently for my front comp. Basically running active is my future plans hehe

Anyway will bring my car back if i got transfer hahaha. Thanks for your compliment but not yet 'puas hati' la.Always gatal tangan. I tuned my system by myself.

May I remind everyone to bring your fav CD, ori if possible. No point listening to other ppls genre in their car, better listen to yours. Some of these damn ICERs listen to shiat boring jazz (myself included).

If you are planning an upgrade soon, this is a good oppurtunity to sample diff equipment and setups. Dun worry not everyone is super high end. You might just find something you will like.......... Or fall deeper into the hole.

And do note that please do not expect much from my setup as the mids are still kinds recessed and the woofer I put in to replace my old one ain't exactly the best performing woofer

Well, most ppl who tried my car have very high expectations when they know how much I spent on my system and also when they see my super huge tweeters padahal its not even complete yet nor will it be completed anytime soon due to budget constraints

This TT everyone enjoy ICE, sound and preference would be more important. Not brand and price and show off.

krayden, really interested to try my Taylor Swift cd in your car lol. Since I bought the cd, never listened one song from start till end as usually when it hut the chorus I'll kill the music. Her voice damn screamy man. Dunno its my system cannot handle or the mastering is screwed @.@

Can but I suspect the mastering is shit as when it hits the chorus, your ears bleeds. At least on my system it does. Doesn't happen to any of my other female vocals. And the Taylor Swift cd is an import from the UK

Usually import cds have the 'import' sticker. Rock corner, popular all should have, but only certain titles. Or you can import it yourself through Amazon.co.uk

in fact, those CDs with "import sticker" or LOLTULEN stickers may not be imported at all, and/or fakes/bootleg/pirated.

case in point, anime DVD/blurays. there are almost 0 original licensed anime in malaysia despite the LOLTULEN stickers. those you can buy in bulk via illegal means (eg: undertable aka bribes)

For audio cd its pretty easy to distinguish. Audio cds are different with anime cds bro. Easiest way is to flip the back of the case and if you see anything that says 'malaysia' at the bottom fine print, it's local. Imports will write something else. As in the company that distributes the disc or the recording label.

And yeah there are test cds which usually costs way above the rm100 mark per disc.

its *NOT HARD* to make photocopy of colored gloss paper. i merely used anime DVD/bluray (or its music/OST CDs for that matter) because of its glaring obviousness as an example.

my point is that what may seem to be import to you, *may* very well not be. and could be bootleg/pirated being sold at original imported CD price.

Highly doubt so as it's clearly written there the company that imports them which are usually wwelll established companies and you can check the fine print on the disc itself as well.

im not saying it 100% is bootleg/pirated, i am saying there is a chance it may very well be. and i've said before and i will say again: it isnt hard to copy fbi warnings, and print fine prints/distribution stickers

and dont even start with those hologram "tulen" stickers. god i hate them so much.

If so care to recommend any brand and how much it's cost for an installation? It will be straight from HU to components at the moment as I low budget at the moment.

Also what is the diff between STP and dynamat? I know both is regularly use for sound dampening...but if not mistaken under both this product they do categorize low range, mid range & high range right? (STP silver, gold & bomb)

invest more on your hardware such as component set/hu is better. so long the cable isn't cheapo/flimsy/bad quality ones then its ok

STP/dynamat are just 2 brands, pick which you prefer

for STP yes they have categorization, not sure bout dynamat

dynamat = if your wallet is heavy

STP ain't cheap either.

...I'm not sure if saying this is appropriate. Please buy soundproofing materials from me, only....?
