After going through this thread, I still haven't understand the purpose of this tool. is this a pc itself or just a movie player?

it's a simple tool to do simple stuff like if u don't have a pc but have a HDMI TV (or monitor), u can plug it in to browse internet, play games, or stream videos. if u want a smart tv very badly but don't have the money to buy it, this can 'convert' your dumb tv (if it has HDMI or USB input) to something that functions like a smart tv and can stream videos from your pc or NAS server upstairs via wifi. it's brilliant actually.

i can think of a lot of useful features for this thing. like if u don't have a smartphone that has HDMI output to do presentations, u can bring this thing everywhere and do presentations with it, no need to bring a full sized laptop. if u have kids who always wants a game console but u don't want to waste so much money on it, just buy this for them
