So, i was wondering up till today, been reading up the few posts.

Are the NA / EU players be able to play together and select servers according to our preferences?

Also, GMG has changed their pre-orders of FFXIV to a single title that has no specific region. I requested a ticket to ask and they responded with this answer.

Although i see links to the NA region of the game, the buy option leads you to a page not found even though it is not listed as the allowed region.

Q: "Hello, i would like to know what is the region in the product "FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Digital Collector's Edition" as i have just pre-ordered. Are both NA and EU regions the same?"

A: "We have two regions and yes they are different. NA and RoW regions. You cannot mix them"

Q: "Having 2 regions means we are able to select upon the release date or it is pre-determined during the pre-order since there are no specifications if the pre-orderis NA or RoW."

A: "You do not get to select which region your key is from you will be issued to correct key for your region."

So basically from what i know here, EU = RoW? NA will just be for NA players or they are just for identification purposes?

This cleared up a lot, so now i dont have to fuss whether i shouldn't cancel my GMG order and not order in amazon instead!

Though i have another question, Will the digital collector's edition include the goodies from the physical copy or just offering the in-game items only?

I requested a ticket to SE, they have yet to reply me since a week ago.
