Hi, I just got into beta and I'm currently downloading. I'm confused about how this works. When I create a character, it's bound to a server, right? But my account region doesn't matter for what server I'm using? In that case, the best servers to pick are Tonberry and Adamantoise but I need to make two different characters for them?

So if I buy FFXIV, I don't need to care which version I buy because I can pick any servers I want?

Sorry for asking a lot. I'm just really confused right now.

That's awesome. I was initially worried that FFXIV would block me in terms of region, but now I'm glad that it doesn't and I'm seriously considering buying it

Anybody know a good way to pre-order? It doesn't seem that I'm allowed to buy as a Malaysian on the digital stores.

Finally managed to pre-order. Can't pre-order from the websites themselves but if I use PayPal it works. Made a pre-order from GreenManGaming since there's a 25% discount.

It seems to be that way. I don't see why it would change from beta on full release. I got it pre-ordered on GMG.

Wondering how we can access open beta if we buy from GMG.

We can still pay the fees through PayPal, right?

I'm still worried about paying fees and account since I bought the EU version, but I can't know until I get to play haha. In any case, apparently The Lodestone beta will be up at 3pm GMT. Kind of a community website for FFXIV.

The stores block transactions in unsupported regions. If I'm buying a North American version, I'll need an actual address that is linked to my card.
