Dun worry, for subs our CC works. I was using mine during version 1.0. I bought US version earlier and I had to use bogus US address. haha! BTW, do you guys have plans to go to same server and start a LS there? I currently have some SG and ID friends, but not many.

I'm planning to move to new server, but it seems we're conflicting with another guild that want to go to a JP server instead of NA server.. so im still discussing with my partner to which we go.

We'll go JP server "IF" there is enough eng speakers to warrant for thou, otherwise we go for NA server.

well some prefer better ping ignoring the language barrier.. experienced playing WoW taiwan when my chinese is so damn bad I can barely read so I could only do raids with ppl that know english which is pretty limited

For NA server, the ping will be higher. I myself prefer JP servers, but I have to see where my friends go.

But FFXIV is not so bad as we can use ingame translators. It's normal to be in JP party. I used to play FFXI last time.

but if your connection is stable 200 ping isn't a very major issue once you get used to it.. worse thing is your ping keeps spiking and jumping around

Well, currently I'm on unifi so I guess it should be ok. But I'll be moving in 6 months or so and my new place might only have 1MB streamyx. I remembered playing Aion with 1MB line last time and it was VERY laggy. I quit due to that.

ahh,, the legendary 1mb.. yep it's impossible to play on US servers with that.. well do an upgrade once you get back =O

A question for people that played the beta and FFXIV 1.0.. is it worth the subscription price tag and investing time into it? read alot of comments on the web about ppl raging about it being p2p and priced higher than it should be etc etc... I have like 4 emails applying for the beta but never got it =(

well that is 1.0 and that time alot of rage from the players and i tried the open beta in 1.0 as well which concluded not suit to my taste..but this is 2.0 now..i guess you give it another try (since i am a sucker for final fantasy titles) and open beta for 2.0 is coming soon

A big YES! I'm legacy. Initially I quit when SE started charging. Then SE offered legacy, I came back, game got sooooo much better with patches and I was still playing and having fun until the last moments the server went down.

Wait for phase 4 (july) I heard it is open beta then. Try it then and then decide. Ahem, since I'm legacy and ahem you know... ahem version 2.0 rocks! I love the changes SE did with crafting and gathering! Cheers for Yoshi and team!

Yea, back then 1.0 launch was a huge mess tornado pool. but right after Yoshida came in, the game get frequent updates.. up to patch 1.20++ the game was really playable. then came in jobs system 1.23+ was the best patch for the game ever. It was worth my investment during their downtime and get a good reward for it as well as we're now legacy.

p2p price that time was 9.99 during the campaign time. 9.99 is dirt cheap lol for an MMOrpg.

man... there's gotta be that ONE store that has CE box with reasonable price, inb4 they allow us to pre-order it...

I've a feeling you might need to wait till the game launches then only probably can get CE version. It's limited too (box set). Best bet would be play-asia.com

I have never upgrade my 1MB le Only choice is JP server.

i think is best that all new user come to a new server in NA server, not to say but if in case something happens at least there will be for sure english speaking people. Not that i do not mind japanese, some just feel not secure lol.
