but got difference if this model come with 1920x1080 full HD screen compare to existing 1388x768?
every thing is perfect for this model except full HD screen...
Will Asus come out with 1920x1080 spec or better spec for this i5 3rd generation N series later on?

it depends on personal needs dude
for movies and games, if you are not that demanding, 1366x768 is more than good enough! icon_rolleyes.gif

if you have a normal laptop with 1388x768 and yet you still want 1920x1080p, then I would recommend getting an external monitor that can support resolution beyond that. These days LCD monitors are getting cheaper.

I dont think can play game in 1080p reso....only can play till the lappy reso only...for movie sure can play 1080p but definitely not as nice as compared to FHD...tat's is 1 of the downside of HD screen...and for those who started using FHD will nvr look b at HD screen especially on a 15 inch lappy...everything looks so much better...

sorry again, what is realli the differences between full HD and HD screen? will it so much difference that the picture will be sharper and clearer in FHD? our naked eyes can detect the difference? i mean on a 15 inch laptop.

higher reso:

-More things can be fitted in. This is very important in terms of productivity.
-because the screen size remains the same, things will be smaller, but also sharper.

thanks for the in4, in terms of productivity, what is the productivity here means? if play HD movie, any comparison between HD and FHD screen? its just the frame will be smaller in the FHD screen oni rite? the quality of the movie is depends on the quality that you downloaded rite?

I doubt so...they purposely released fhd for the i7 1 so tat u would buy tat...if there were to b a fhd i5...i think more ppl would rather get tat for a much lesser price...i guess this is 1 of their marketing strategy...

i think im gonna go for i5 model, wont be needing i7 (not use for gaming, picture editing), 1TB hdd (got 2 TB hdd in hand), FHD screen (i dont think there is much differences unless u always watch 1080p videos), gonna keep my RM900 biggrin.gif

The i5 model would definitely b a gud choice especially if u dun bid i7 n the blu ray player...it has the same design n speaker of the i7 would IMO looks classy n MacBook-ish..too bad that asus dun wan to hav an FHD or at least a 1600X900 reso screen for it...

the i5 3rd generation N series, is the 750GB HDD 7200rpm?
I saw some feedback on this laptop on cnet asia... said that overloaded Asus apps slows down the performance... and actually I think a better HDD will makes laptop lasts longer... (and newer since I'm gonna use it for at least 2 years so I'm considering for some that will not outdated that fast)

lol SSD is pricey for now and the capacity is not enough ~.~
I saw the specs of zenbook. it's not that worth of money I'm totally out of budget sad.gif but of course it met my requirement (thin, nice for mobility) hmm.gif

Addition:
I think HDD is my main problem for my current lappy,
my Asus lappy is 2 years+ already, asked my friends they all have 30 seconds system bootup but mine is 3 minutes as stated in windows event viewer ~.~
don't know it's because aging HDD or aging CPU or dusty inside

Not much videos are in 1080p though, unless you buy bluray or watch online.
But seriously just connect to your tv via HDMI.
Get HD.

Is the 3rd gen Intel Core i5-3210M 2-core or 4-core?

As I check in Asus website, it's 2-Core, but my friend said 3rd Gen Intel Processors all are 4-core??

*Btw, if normal use, how's the battery life? smile.gif
