It depends on the surface of your door. If it is fabric/leather type, then yes. If it is plastic, then it won't. Anyway, the primer is not really necessary unless the surface is really dirty. Usually, the 3M double sided tape is more than enough - provided the surface is really clean.

If for a new Alza coming out from the factory do you advice to apply primer on it?

The trick is to use the alcohol swaps that we provided in the package. If the surface is dirty, it will be shown on the swaps and you need a primer for it.

Thanks so much .. One last question: for the bottom do u stick on the rubber surface like the top or on ur car chassis surface?
