The United States has a military presence in two thirds of the countries around the world. A group of 12 have had enough and initiate a terror ultimatum called the Blacklist – a deadly countdown of escalating terrorist attacks on US interests. Sad you wouldn't be getting the old voice, the old has retired.
I hope they would rename the game into something different instead of Splinter Cell.

damn..i love splinter cell starting from the first till now.i just never thought his voice sounded much younger than the older games,i.e double agent or conviction.. but after watching the second video,i still love micheal ironside voice,sounded more manly and i'm just used to fisher sounded angrier..

well it ubisoft i guess..hahaha...they juz recycle their idea for others to use...well it came out pretty good....
what to do,they own the bloody franchises but still the fluid takedown movement made the game play go rather faster comparing to the older title.i remember splinter cell chaos theory, i spent 2 bloody hours on a friggin level..
That looks pretty cool, see through wall reminds me of Blacklight, slow mo reminds me of Max Payne, then roof-ledge assassination reminds me of Assassins' Creed, calling strike reminds me of GRAW...
pre-ordering it on steam and making damn sure it downloads before the release date so i can play the shit out of it.
conviction was good but it was a 1 time thing for me really, but chaos theory that was the real SC! but this seems to be going back but mixing the good parts of conviction

I personally think that this game has moved quite a bit far from its original ethos of stealth action, which was the real hallmark for this once amazing franchise. Now it seems to be more focused on assaults and over the top gadgetry. I miss the days when it was all about Sam staying in the shadows and taking the enemies out, hiding their bodies etc.
This is not to say that the newer game wont be any better, I liked the last instalment of splinter cell. But some thing was missing there. Sam going all Rambo was not a Sam thing.

The game is still the same stealth action game, what makes it different from the previous game is more solutions (stealth, assassin or brute) can be used to complete a mission. If you want to play the new splinter cell game in good old sneaking way, just play it on harder difficulty. Direct assault is suicide and shadow is your best friend. I can not remember how many times i give middle finger to my PC screen each time i got discovered by enemies.

Sadly no : but you should get yourself prepared for Blacklist instead. Conviction is a bad port.
nah I already got blacklist, since I get conviction for free, just asking if anyone wanna play Conviction... And I agree, the PC port of Conviction is very lousy for me (GPU usage going up and down, mouse smoothing...), so hopefully Blacklist on the PC is good (should be since its a Nvidia and DX11 title)

Just received the game and install to my pc. Resolution for my screen is 1920 X 1080. But inside the game,the max resolution is 1680 X 1050 only. What the Fish!! anybody got issue like me?
or it need new patch? oowaii.. 1.7G?

maybe it's my first time playing the splinter cell's franchise games, but i was quite shocked to see the concept of choosing missions was very similar to payday 2's. main panel, choose mission. btw anyone on uplay add me up too! xedxron

Not sure your version how.. maybe same as me. But i have no problem about cd key. For retail version be sure to patch to new one. 1.01.. and it's 1.7G.. oo wai..

i already download the new patch. Without the patch, the game didn't auto detect my screen resolution. Now it fix the problem. The only problem is, i didn't start to play it yet.

installed the 1.7gig patch and everything worked well on my pc so far. just when launching the game in fullscreen the ubisoft logo screens and all are shrink too freaking small on the left top corner, but it goes back to normal when reaching the [press any key] part. and well, 1.7gig as well on a 1mbps line, started to download and went for nap instead

Does not work leh, i did tried to rename but got more problem i reinstall liao also does not make any difference, removed the tm and r character during reinstallation, except no more annoying "cant find resource" error message that ubisoft updater gave me. their QC must have been slacking a lot, released half ass product to public. day one 1.7gb patch is teh proof
Anyone got artifact issue? Sometimes an achievement message would pop up, then the artifact would randomly appear on most texture surface including character skin... The game still run smoothly, but it would distort to a point you can see which direction you are facing... The problem will only go away after quit to desktop. It happens only in solo play so far, and its does not happens all the time but I have encounter it 3 times already... Patch the 1.7 GB and the 500MB patches already. i7 950, GTX680, temperature below 60c during game play.
Guys im trying to play this game using Y510p sli model but i think this game only detect one of my gpu and got fps around 34fps - 37fps ultra setting with paralax off huhu kinda weird rite..

Not all games are sli friendly, last time I tried nfs series also same. After I disable sli, those frames doubled. I play with just 1 card using the old 680 also very smooth.

Hahah true! but my problem already solved. Im using Nvidia Inspector to enable SLI in splinter cell blacklist got average fps 45 sometimes boost up to 60..both gpu running 85% and got temp around 77 haha happy go lucky now!!
- Ultra Setting, - Parallax ON, - Tessellation ON, - MSAA 4x - Field AO & HBAO+
Happy to play this game rite now haha.. Btw modern game compatible with SLI hehe..
