You pro modeller or just OOB?
Hagesawa kits generally has small parts, molded in flat single pieces, so painting is required, not to mention their crazy water decals. So far this line focus on VO Force and Marz VRs. Recommendation: Temjin 747a8 White Knight (Very hard to find tho) Temjin 747 Shadow ver. (even harder to find) Any female VRs Kotobukiya kits, on the other hand, are just like the SRW kits; molded with parts of different colors separated, comes with dry-transfer decals, very little painting needed for OOB build. This line focus on OMG and VOOT VRs. Specineff(has very sharp claws!) and Fei-Yen are both cool. Raiden is kinda clunky, but very easy to find (IIRC XL Shop/Time Machine both still have the RNA version) But seriously, I've been on this forums for quite some time and I never knew we have a VO thread, lol |

QUOTE(guarayakha @ Aug 3 2010, 07:39 PM) Something in between QUOTE(guarayakha @ Aug 3 2010, 07:39 PM) Hagesawa kits generally has small parts, molded in flat single pieces, so painting is required, not to mention their crazy water decals. But it looks so nice after they're put on. I definitely prefer Hasegawa's Temjin over Kotobukiya's bland version. I think i still see Raiden II and Viper II around, but aren't really interested in those two. If (and that's a really BIG "if") i can find Fei-Yen, would you recommend me getting the Hasegawa version or Kotobukiya's? Not judging by the looks, but rather on the quality and articulation? But what's really got me kicking is Apharmed The Hatter QUOTE(guarayakha @ Aug 3 2010, 07:39 PM) But seriously, I've been on this forums for quite some time and I never knew we have a VO thread, lol It's left to rot at the back pages til i dug it up... Thanks for the valuable information, dude. |

For the Fei-Yen, better get Koto's Fei-Yen Kn; stronger joints there, definitely. The skirt pieces on the Hagesawa's Fei requires plastic cement to properly hold them in place, and she has 3 tiny pieces glued into 1 for her elbow joint..Yikes.
Though i did bought the 3 Fei's, coz it's VO However, the Guarayakha model is much more forgiving, but requires some paint job, despite having those decals Can't wait for the Myzr Delta. Hopefully Kotobukiya would also step up their game and give us a transforming Cypher. |
