The game is all good except the slow mo when shooting. and when he run, its not so realistic - too energetic? lol.....other than this 2 for me, it's all good especially on its fighting animation.

Wonder if the missions are repetitive. Cuz most open world games are like that.

Nowadays games all turn out like this so had to be careful before buying. If it's a console port i might as well get the console one but if it's indeed made to shine on the pc i'll definitely take the pc route. |

My download 95% of 10GB already completed, then i launched a game then it paused, when i resume it it start from 0% percent again with duplicate files. Then i do another test by re-download it after delete all local file, n same thing happen. 1st time i pre-load game, so not sure whether its normal. |

The only thing i disappointed about this game is that it doesnt have multiplayer or co-op. It would be a great bonus if does have these features!

The combat system is kinda awesome, really reminds of Arkham City except it's slower and less flashy. Using environment kills on your opponent is brutally satisfying. And the character's cosmetic customization is very varied. My impression so far that it's good enough to set it's self from the dozens of other GTA clones in the market. probably becoz i am too use to skyrim control, i find the mouse not really that smooth. and the closet control a bit let down actually, it can actually be as simple as left click = wear the cloth, right click = remove. and the char model a bit funny, are those even normal human body? lol.
anyway, 1 hour in, quite like it especially the combat part where u can slam ppl onto anything, throw ppl downstair graphic wise, everything set to max except AA (medium), getting 57FPS on average with gtx670, so very smooth gameplay |

Change the download region on the setting to other country. I always try at least 3 country to get the best speed. Weirdly Ukraine give me the best for my streamyx.
3 hours in the game, it looks super shiny with neons errywhere. Too bad the driving feels too arcadey. You ram people twice with ctrl to disable the cars and get away from cop cars. When you die you can restart at the last checkpoint which is pretty good. Early impressions it's just average. |

Just bought this game ...showing support to the game company
Damn.. My wallet not yet recover since steam summer sales Wanted to pre order hitman but many of friends giving accuse not buying original sleeping dogs as it dun has multiplayer  If no one support them... tested on the benchmark...
can only get 30FPS average on all max including AA... tried normal AA.... average 58FPS... now have to wait till it finish downloading hi res texture pack... luckily my umobile still got few GB quota left... |

for those who are using SLI, read this... l managed to get my sli to work after updating my driver to the latest beta version 304.79... seems they include the sli profile in the beta version for sleeping dog as well as prototype 2.. got around 50~60 fps with all maximum settings except AA

overall i like the game especially kung fu fighting but i dun like the weapon system in the game .. how can a triad hardly get a gun (no gun shop a.k.a black market), no baseball bat, and even a knuckle |

i like the fighting hand to hand combat...
its really fluid... plus u can use environment to kill enemy... thats kool... anyway... before this benchmark only on my monitor 1600x900... now i hooked up my pc to my TV 1920x1080... here is the result...  not really much diff with 1600x900... i think a lil bit better than 1600x900... good enough for me... I have the retail version and it doesn't have any DLC included, kinda sucks and unfair since PS3 and 360 have them. In fact, all SEA and East Asia receive the Normal Edition, except Hong Kong. So I just checked the DLC tab on my Sleeping Dogs, which is the retail version, the Normal Edition for Asia and surprisingly DLCs from probably ANZ edition are there ! They are also found on the Downloadable Content menu in the game. Does anyone know how to use these DLCs ? All I can pretty much find for now, at least is the Shaolin Showdown on the yellow marker since I just started playing it.

h-klub radio station huh...will try it out later... overall the story is indeed interesting.... like the rpg element of leveling up ur characther... cops level may seems hard to level up though.... i wonder IF we can level up all the feats...or we can only get a portion of it at the end of the game... locating the health shrines pretty much reminds me of Infamous though... wont say i dun like it but it gets tiring after awhile... |

Hey guys i bought the game on 17th physical copy but after i install the game which is 5.80gb and play around like 30 mins and then i try the HD pack in the US store. And now my game size became like 9 gb but seems like my download always get stuck and suspended. Ive been trying to find afix for the last 3 days but no luck. Any help please? Btw mine is Asia i guess

guys. just finish downloaded the base game worth 5GB+. But I tried to download the hi res texture, Steam had it under my DLC tab. But in-game i tried to activate the hi res, it said needed to download via Steam.

Yes that's true, although it came as a nice surprise, but I'd appreciate if they stated clearly what are the contents. Anybody having problem at martial art school ? whereby after returned the jade statue n chosen melee upgrade ... been practice for minutes but it wont complete the training ... or im missing something here ?

btw anyone experienced this problem?
i just changed my keyboard and mouse today then when i on my mission nid to hold left shift and use mouse to attk enemy somehow my mouse like couldnt detect and just hard to swing around ... i keep on fail the same mission and it get me frustrated ... i tried to change key but in the end they still asked me to press left shit ... any idea? |

if anyone faces the crash to desktop issue, can you guys please list down what card are you using, driver version, is it OCed and in-game details like resolution, HD texture pack is on or not, V-sync.
So far after reading the thread at official forum, some CTD cases are caused by OCed GPU. In my case, I reduced my reso from 1080p to 1600x900 and it was good (but I don't know whether it was stable or not since the crashes sometimes randomly happened, 10minutes in the game, maybe 1 hour) I'll try underclock my card later and play it back at 1080p and see whether the crashes would be there. This definitely needs a patch as my other games, they all run fine without any issues before. This is to find perhaps a quick fix to those who face similar situation like this. |

well im having problem with the nvidia driver 301.42 , the core clock and shader clock seems to be stucked at 51 and 101 mhz , need to restart the computer to solve this problem. alex82 , does the newest beta driver still having this problem after you using it?

Okay, tried the demo, and the game is amazing.
Looks great, runs great, and gameplay is quite good so far. I think im buying this ham ka chan. They really need to make the next game in cantonese, as the excellent voice acting become comedy when the swearing in an english sentence is replaced with cantonese swearing. |

I played this on Xbox only and it's really an amazing game to play, while waiting for GTAV to be released next year (maybe?)...
I probably need to upgrade my PC first if I really wanna buy this on Steam, coz' I wanna try that HD Resolution pack... |

Just finished the amazing storyline. The characters and missions are very interesting. Got me hooked to finish it.
It's not perfect though, controls are buggy sometimes. Tapping space to climb sometimes won't work. Gps is frustrating and relying on the map yourself can save a lot of time. Taxis are helpful if you're lazy to drive more than 1000m. Guns are rare and most likely will be found in missions. Combat system is refreshing from the usual M1 spam. Hacking, lock picking, mahjong, cawk fighting and bug planting mini games are also fun. I like that the devs put in checkpoints in mission so you don't rage so much when you fail. Driving feels too arcade-y for me but the races are fun nonetheless. Massages too are good for you health yo. Compared to GTA:IV i would say it's not in the same league. Sleeping Dogs is on it's own great league. |

Can somebody take a screenshot of warning sign at the Gambler Den boat..?
That white warning sign contains Malay words that said "Bahaya -Jangan Dekat" I wanna see that in HD resolution pack.. |

I finish the game 2 days ago. The story was quite interesting. Tbh the fighting I think Batman is much much better than this. Some achievement also hard to unlock specially when comes to using gun. So hard to find gun in the game.

Started with Sleeping Dogs on Saturday.
Impression: 1) Story and realism is top notch....love all the cantones and canto pop music! 2) Hand to hand combat is pretty good. It's way better than the shitty GTAIV. But of course, Batman still rules supreme in this area. 3) Graphics are excellent with the details and such. Overall, a worthwhile game. I discovered one thing...sometimes there are just too many goons in the drug bust area....so just drive a car there and run them down....don't slow down too much or they'll drag you out of the car.... Can hear one of the goons says something like "Burst his balls" or something .."Tar pow hui ker chun toi!"....LOL. |

There was a woman for no reason scold at me or something. I pull her hair and throw her into the car boot....haha...so satisfying. Next must try if i can drive the car into the sea with the bi*ch in the car boot...(since there's one side mission you can actually drive a car into the sea)...hehe.

Shooting at vehicles causes them to react in very predictable and unconvincing ways (bikes and cars do a frontal flip when you shoot the tires wth), vehicles can stop instantaneously and do brake turns. My pc version of Sleeping Dog is kinda weird. For the graphic set up. I turned on every single thing to the max, the fps rate is 30-40. And if I lower the graphic setup like medium range or the lowest. The frame rate is still the same. Is it because I'm using Nvidia and the game is specialize for AMD?

One of the best game i play this year beside Saint Row 3 and Battlefield 3
Sleeping dogs with High res textures. I love the kungfu combat style. Night market + HK Rainy city is amazing. I think this game need to rework a bit at shooting and driving. anyway, amazing game! hong kong is lively!  |

i'm not usually an achievement perfectionist but i actually went ahead and completed all the gold stats awards. shows how much i love the game!
the DLCs need to be more interesting though. most of them don't really add much content.  |

Just finished Sleeping Dogs, and man, this game is good.
