Hi all,

I am just wondering if the new iPad (aka ipad3) will have personal hotspot function is also available for normal 3G users? Like maxis or digi prepaid 3G. (I am currenly using ipad1, jail broken and using mywi to share wifi to my iPhone)

I would Like to keep this sharing of wifi to my iPhone. Everything that I've read, it says that the personal hotspot is there, but am still unsure. So, would like to know from you guys.

Confirm! I am using Celcom and iPad 3. I always use personal hotspot to share the connection to my laptop either by USB or wirelessly ^^

I'm using celcom 3G as well but why I can't see personal hotspot...? Anyway to solve this?

check ur carrier izit version 12.1?
go to setting then i think it will auto update..
i got mine auto update as well

There's a personal hotspot under the network tap but the version shows nothing.....

go to setting -> general -> about
then look at carrier

Yes, the carrier shows version 12.1 but there's no personal hotspot shows up

Mine is showing Carrier 12.0 . How to update it become 12.1 to enjoy the hotspot?

it should auto update
u need put ur sim card in..then it will auto update when u go to see ur carrier version

Using UMobile, U28 plan.

Btw which carrier is better? Maxis/Celcom/UMobile?

umobile = no no
maxis = if u like speed
celcom = if u like coverage

Try to reboot ur ipad. After reboot, go to Setting, then General, then about. A prompt sure will ask u to update it

Yes I agree. I inserted my sim card and then, head to Settings > General > About.
You will then be prompted to update now or update later when you are in 'About'.
After updating, the Personal Hotspot will be available.

if still no update meaning the carier still not yet support ipad3..
later previously in march maxi and celcom not yet update thier carrier to ver 12.1 thus no hotspot that time ...after few weeks only they roll out..
