so..wat chipset does my ram uses, damn hard to check.. rclxub.gif I attached it here. Thanks alot for replying/helping.

There is no software that can be used to check the chipset that is on the rams.
The only way to check it is by taking out your ram, look at the chipset by yourself, then take note of it. smile.gif

regarding d compatibility, cn giv me an example of apps tht's not compatible for 64-bit..wat about games? will it affects games?  hmm.gif
*
Games?
Don't even think about it.
64bit windows is more complicated compared to 32bit.

You might as well stay on 32bit until 64bit really really matures. smile.gif

But, does it possible for the RAM to run dual channel??
*

Yes. smile.gif
It will still run at dual channel.

Your system will run at 4GB.
Infact your system will run faster, it's only that windows is not able to recognize ram size is more than 3.5GB. smile.gif

Hi guys!I have question here.If your laptop FSB is 533MHZ, can it support the RAM with 667MHZ DDR II?
*
FSB doesn't have anything to do with the support of rams.
Give me the brand and the model of your notebook.
I'll check it for you.

guys, i'm usin the crucial ballistix 2x1gb ddr2-6400 which supposed to run at 4-4-4-12, but when i used cpu-z to detect.. it shows at 5-5-5-18.. er.. can i know what is happening? arent it suppose to run at 4-4-4-12?

btw, i'm running on abit ip35-e with e6750..

thanks smile.gif
You have to adjust the timing in the bios by yourself.
Your motherboard doesn't support EPP, if it supports EPP, then it'll adjust by itself.

halo. i got a noob question tongue.gif

i juz bought a pair of 2gb kvr. after i replace my existing 512x2, my mobo only detects 3.4gb of ram. wat does it mean?isit my mobo tat is bottleneck o wat? owh btw, only using cpuz, i can detect 4gb. icon_question.gif
You're using Windows XP 32Bit / Windows Vista 32Bit right?
If that's true, then it's normal for your system to only detect 3.5GB out of 4GB. smile.gif

hi boss.. haha.. thanks for the info.. but i cant seem to find the info abt epp on my mobo.. ecc got la.. hehe.. then how about the voltage? i shud stick with the reference value? 2.2V?

good luck on ur shop opening!! btw, some of the pic in ur silverstone sales thread is wrong.. casing in fans section.. hehe
If you're on 800Hz @ 4-4-4-12, you don't need 2.2Volts.
1.85 ~ 1.9Volts is enough.

About the wrong pictures, yes i know, it's because i'm still in the midst of updating. smile.gif

heres my screenie:
Well, from the CPUz screenie, your motherboard detects all 4GB.
Ignore the 3.5GB 32bit limitation. Because it's normal.

However, i'm a lil bit weird about you saying that your board only detects 3.5GB while the CPUz itself reports that your motherboard does detect all 4GB of ram.

a noob question here, can i use ddr533,667 or 800 to my mobo, since my mobo only support ddr400?my motherboard is ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe
No you can't.
Because DDR533 667 & 800 is DDR2.

Your motherboard only supports DDR1.
You can't use DDR2 rams on DDR1 ram slot.

but I am wondering can i use DDR2 800 instead of DDR2 667 that is in the laptop now?is there any difference in performance?
Yes u can.
However, the ram will be forced to run at DDR2 PC2-5300 667MHz.

And No, you won't feel any differences.
