Guys, what happened to those with loose power button on their pebble blue? Can get a 1 to 1 exchange? Or have to claim through warranty? Sorry if this has been asked, the thread is too fast or me to keep up. blush.gif

I'm probably going to collect my S3 this weekend, and plan to check the power button there and then. So wondering whether I can ask for 1 to 1 exchange if it is loose, cause if claim warranty will have to wait for a few weeks. sad.gif

Guys, I couldn't access play store. It keeps coming out 'connection time out'. But internet over wifi seems to be fine, I can open stock browser. In fact, I could go to google play webpages through browser. And funny thing, is when browsing apps through google play website, there is something like 'this app is suitable for Xperia X10i' (my old phone). Oh and apps that were installed in my old phone, is shown as installed in the website even though I don't have it in my S3. I don't understand why, very weird... shocking.gif I use application manager find google play store app, and clear data, clear cache, force stop and restart the app, but still can't get it to work... Reboot phone also can't work... Anybody with any ideas, please help me... sad.gif Thanks.

My account is listed under there bro. But I used that same gmail account for my old phone last time. Is there some settings I should change or something? Will there be a problem if there are two phones under the same gmail account?

An update to my problem, I've tried removing account and re-login, no luck still couldn't work. Also I read up a little about the google play account, apparently we need to at least enter the play store once with a new phone before it will appear in the phone list in google account. I have not been able to enter play store since I got the S3, no wonder my google account shows only xperia x10i.

So anybody knows what else I can try to get the play store to work? Will a factory reset help? Also is it possible for me to uninstall the play store and reinstall again? I have a rooted phone. It seems weird that everything else including samsung apps can connect to the wifi but not play store.

I feel for you bro. There must be something that can be done to at least block the phone from being used. I hope you will be able to track and recover your phone.

Your case is weird... Did you try to set it up using mobile data? Or just factory reset it.
*
Thanks for the reply bro. I'm usually surrounded by wifi at home and in office, so I don't subscribe to data. But I guess I could get a pass from Maxis for a day. Thanks for the suggestion, worth a try.

If I do a factory reset for the first time, I will lose all data right? Including apps that is pre-installed in the phone? I think I read that somewhere in this forum if I'm not mistaken...

Factory reset lost everything. But it won't touch your files save in SD Card. You can use TB to backup it if your phone is root. Then restore back, since your phone got such funny issue, better when restore, only restore the apps you install (not system apps and not data on the apps).
*
Ok thanks will try that. One more question, before try factory reset, I want to try uninstall play store. I have root, so I just need to access the root folder and delete the apk corresponding to play store is it?

You can't install back. Unless you want to install back modified version... or push back the same version you have currently.

Actually did you try clear data on that play store? and you sure you keying correctly your gmail account and password? Do they sync in proper?
*
Sorry I'm not an expert in this, but while googling I found apk of google play store, I thought I could perhaps reinstall using that?

Yea I did, clear data and clear cache of play store, still couldn't work. The account should be correct, my contacts sync to gmail is correctly displayed in contacts list. Also if I browse google play website, they mention that certain apps is compatible with my old phone (xperia X10i), so I think the account log in is working.

In any case a clean factory reset sounds a better option, I think I'll do that. Luckily I can download titanium backup free apk without needing play store.

Thanks for your help bro.
