Only unscrupulous sellers will want you to buy with accessories. The so called "JB free software" is infact doing more harm to your phone as many of such free apps are badly cracked pirated apps ( though there are indeed some good ones ). I have several friends who got such free apps ( some even pay up to RM 100+ for such so call provided apps service ) and often complain about phone issues - unstable, often hang and crashes - a factory reset solve all these problems
Buy your phone from those reputable resellers such as SEP and install apps yourself

buy s3 no need buy accessories
no matter what
those shops just wan clear their accessories

jailbreak is only for iphone
we r used to the term root
n u can do it urself
no need for shops

same goes for upgrade
we hav guides on 1st page for that

hehe, honestly, i am not very familiar with firmware things coz still new to smartphone.
i check out on samsung website, it is kind of software like upgrading or fix the software, does it affect the battery usage?

avoid those who rape u like that. u can do whatever u want to do to pimp your phone. but if u begginer i suggest u just don't do anything to your phone and enjoy it the way it is.

few days back i had same problem but not too obvious. Apparently (or maybe) due to my data plan already reach its max and celcom already capped it. Browsing seems ok but had problem accessing play store. During the time, i did some experiment:

1) Internet using data plan - play store not stable and keep displaying 'retry'. Browsing internet ok but slow
2) Internet using wifi - play store works fine. Browsing internet has no issue.



Just sharing my experience.

just rely on your built in "play store" on software updates and fixes. don't do anything "backdoor" at the moment. just enjoy the standard features that comes with the original phone. when u ready (u will know when u ready) u can do the "backdoor" thing. but really u don't need to. backdoor are for seasoned users or just for the itchy fingers. for the people on the streets like u and me, no need backdoor.

and don't steal software. it is not like zaman 80an where everybody steals. now, u like something u buy. what is 1.99 usd anyway. makan keropok is about that price. and if u see a good software, reward these people la. is a small price anyway. just do your small part to reward them.

my godness...u know what..last night i've been to shop(samsung dealer)..
price for white rm1990 blue rm2050..i prefer blue..i bring cash rm2100..
the seller said u have to buy acc rm150 and software upgrading(jailbreak+6 software) rm150..
total almost rm2400..i go atm and withdraw another rm300 and came back to shop.
suddenly the seller said, blue no stock, white left..i just cancel..

Oh. ty. BTW, Is that so complicated to use such superb GS3 phone?

Tell us the shop name so we can avoid such lousy sellers... Complain to Samsung to strip their dealership

Agree! Siyah kernel never fast for me in 3D, it even worst than franco.
Battery also seems great so far.
