Congratz... welcome to the G army.. anyways.. some use Corsair ram some use Kingston performance ram up to you.. best be sure it's dual channel for optimized performance

me too, dunno the power of ssd yet...

guys for the g55 when the back light keyboard is switched on do you all feel that the aluminium board will become hotter(there is an empty space column above the arrow up key)?

2 days ago, i go ICT mallpenang, to upgrade my ram...

after asking for d price of corsair 2x4gb 1600, and agreed to upgrade, but ask him to test 1st to show that compatible or not, if not, i dun take it.....he ok with that...

so he open the back cover when open the cover he really kasar, then cracking sound, 1 of the "leg" patah....

he say he will replace 1 new 1 for me~~~

after upgrade the ram, run cpu-z , but the speed is 1333, so, thats mean not compatible....

as our agreement before upgrade the ram, so, take out the 2 pcs corsair ram.....

so, after that we bincang about the replace thenew back cover for me, he say he try to find for me.....then after that, he say if cannot find , then he pay money for me can bo?? i direct say cannot, i dun wan the money, i want new cover....
so, today he call me and asking for my G55 serial number, idun give the number to him yet, then i call penang  asus center clarify about the procedure, then asus penang say is ok to give him the serial number~~

so, now i still no send the serial num to him yet~~
try to ask, who upgrade the corsair 2x4gb 1600 ram, will it run on 1600 speed ???

to be honest, to open the back cover is quite tough as there are many legs in the 1st place, I myself also scare one of them will break during my ram adding/changing procedure.

last week edi pre-order from itking... saying today or 2moro will get my unit.. until now no call

i try it b4 i buy ,and run in 1333... so i return it back... as he agree if the ram not compatible b4 test it~~~~

if 6++ means 1333mhz lorr..

did u get the right ram in the first place? if it's not a 1600 ram, it will never run at 1600mhz, otherwise change the ram slot..

and my timings are 11-11-11-28 and yours is 9-9-9-24 that is why it is running at that speed!!!

change those ram to a 11-11-11-28 timing to get the full performance of 1600mhz...
