I got artifacts problem with my G53SX-S1208V. Problem is with my graphics card. Not LCD for sure.

I want to send to the service center but to wait 2 months for the repair is a living nightmare for me.
I rely heavily on this laptop especially when I do so much designing and video editing

It is but I've heard so many "good" things about the service that I don't know whether to send it or not. So many horror stories

I've just tried connecting to a VGA display and the artifacts are not on the external display. That's weird and a good thing at the same time. Sorry I didn't try this earlier though.
Any idea on how I should proceed with this instead of having a 3.8K lappie without a working monitor?

Does vpn slows the bandwidth? let's say you subscribe to maxis 5mbps wireless broadband(usb) and the download speed is 5mbps, however if you on vpn would it reduce the download speed?

As promised.. here is a short tutorial on how to open the g55vw case..

IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF DESTROYING YOUR MACHINE, DONT ATTEMPT THIS !!

tools needed :

1. screwdriver set (those mini screw driver that usually comes in a set of 6 different sizes.. i got mine from Daiso for RM5
2. a towel (use this as a base so you dont scratch you beloved machine)
3. Balls and some common sense
4. OPTIONAL : a small magnet
Here Goes :

1. remove the screws in yellow and blue

2. flip the laptop over and slowly remove this casing

3.remove the screw highlighted in yellow

4. slowly remove the top cover. becareful on at this part.. do not pull it too hard or you risk breaking the clips.

5. take extra care when removing this area and also the other side

some times when you are removing the cable in pic 10.. this cable might come loose also. juz check it before you assemble the top case or you wont be able to power on the machine.

Hi, I had back up my recovery DVDs long ago without updating my AI recovery. Was testing the disk just now, just tried until it warn me that if continue recovering will cause me to loss all the data in my HDD. Does that means my recovery DVDs actually work? Do I still need to update my AI recovery and then burn another set of recovery DVDs?

wow lucky something came up.. and i have to cancel from him then.. but when i heard from ITKing that he has stock.. right after i cancel.. i also have to pull up some strings for extra cash ma =.= if not i'll be waiting like u.. 2 months waiting of course that money will kena use little by little =.= thats why i hate waiting

but above all.. i pity u bro.. we should be on the same ship by now.. just take from ITKing .. it's not about we want to screw up the deal..but it's about a customer waiting for 2 months... really wrong..

p/s: i think i will get maxis BB again.. last time i get speed fluctuate.. although YES BB so fast .. even peak hour easily 1MB/s download but cannot tahan pay rm150 for 10GB data 

bro arvinaa just wanna know during peak hour hows the speed (6pm - 12pm) and my area also so many ppl.. but since u're in KL izzit...must be damn lots of ppl also.. my place alot of student and line sharing will make it slow most of the time...  just wanna make sure all that first..

remote area is actually alot more better.. coz less ppl using.. so less ppl sharing lines.. before i'm using maxis BB also. but then during peak hour. hailarh.. always DC + very slow internet connection... after 2 am then can only get 5mbps... download around 400 - 600 KB/s .. thats why i went for YES BB.. coz during peak hour also no problem.. but RM150 for 10GB so pain =.= if i hand itchy download2 this and that + youtube.. GG.com
