Apparently... for past few days.. there is a gathering of angry mob/forumer at Runic forum... their demand is the release date.
On every Thursday, their should be a weekly update.. but the past update was late and was not really related to TL2 at all.. This sparks few thread that demanding the date.. some do ask to reopen beta back. Anyway.. Runic say it will be release in Summer. Since summer in US is from June to September.. that is the time frame which Runic have, and now it is middle of it (July). Anyway..IMO, Runic must tell something within this week, otherwise.. ![]() This post has been edited by Misfit: Jul 9 2012, 08:39 AM |

Well I dont..
They already got hold of our money, so we have the right to know when it will be available. Its not like they making a permanent physical stuff, like a statue carve on some rare stone.... its on digital media for crying out loud.... they could release a patch later on. and they should tell on what stage are they on now, rather then this excuse like reply.: QUOTE We simply don't want to announce a release date that we won't hit. When we are absolutely sure we can hit it we will announce a date. Believe me, we want this game done more than anyone and are doing every thing we can to make that happen, but we don't want to be forced to release a game that we don't believe is solid because we set a date we simply couldn't hit. We aren't trying to lead you guys on, it's just that making games has many unforeseen challenges and every thing takes longer than you would hope. We are getting there though! Please have some patience with us. We know it's frustrating, but we are getting closer every day. QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Jul 11 2012, 11:01 AM) Okay, thanks for the heads up. I guess I follow you as well. I tried Dungeon Siege last week.. but didnt feel the hack and slash theme in it.I guess i'll pick up Titan Quest to quench my ARPG needs. It is alright, i rather have well developed mechanism and gameplay than a garbage game with lots of design flaws. I will wait till next year, if thats the way to make the game amazing. Drakensang Online felt like Diablo/TL.. but thats mmo.. .so Titan Quest is the logical choice. |

This quit interesting, got one thread at Runic forum that dev been pumping with update since last night.
http://forums.runicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=30100 I post some interesting reply from dev: QUOTE by travisbaldree » Thu Jul 12, 2012 2:13 pm The reason there isn't a release date is because it's hard to give one with any precision. If we DO give one, and we miss it, people will be understandably mad. There's a LOT of game to polish - and it is time consuming, and not always predictable. The world is also an erratic place - people have family emergencies, pre-planned trips, their kids get sick, and so on and so forth. With a small team, those life-events have a real schedule impact that is hard to predict. Let's say I just pick a time. If we need another week when we hit that time, should we take it? Or just boot it out the door? Why on earth would we keep the game for longer than we had to? The ONLY reason not to release it is because it isn't quite ready yet. My hope is that after seeing the beta you can rest assured that the quality of the game will be high, and that it was such a large chunk of content that you can also be assured that we're not pulling the wool over anybody's eyes about the scope and polish of the final product. The reason that it is harder to make posts with concrete game information in them is because the people who provide the content for those posts are working on the game. Making those posts takes time from completing the game. In addition, we beta'd a big, big, chunk of TL2. Most of the details of how it works aren't terribly secret - most unrevealed information is content that we don't necessarily want to spoil. Anyway, it is understandable that folks are anxious to get a release date - my wife would really, really like one too. And we will announce one, but only when we're pretty sure that there's little chance we won't meet it. Travis travisbaldree Runic Staff QUOTE by travisbaldree » Thu Jul 12, 2012 2:34 pm and for those want to roll Embermage, this may insterest you. Our target release date is still the, admittedly vague, 'summer' - that's why we didn't post a release date when the preorders went live. We didn't have a precise time. Travis QUOTE by travisbaldree » Thu Jul 12, 2012 3:17 pm So, today I tuned several sets of spawnclasses, tracked down an issue with easing in non-environmental sounds based on an event, set up a few minor monster skills, and found an optimization issue with non-baked collideable roompieces in an act 3 level that led me to a fix which shaved a lot of loading times down. I also fixed 3 crashes that have crept in over the past week, and debugged some issues with collision normals on scaled non-bakeable invisible meshes. Charged bolts weren't properly damaging enemy units on procs, and I fixed that too. Whee! Exciting, yes? I am now implementing several sexier tier bonuses on some Embermage skills. Travis |

Guys, Im bored.. wanna play "create-your-unique". People at Runic forum playing it.. it's like this
Follow this template, we play weapon only, not amor/trinket others, let say this if for level 60 requirement: QUOTE <row 1> Weapon Name I start:<row 2> Weapon Type (1-handed, 2-handed, Staff, Guns, Cannon, etc) <row 3> Attack speed (X second) <row 4> Damage range (XXX ~ XXX) <row 5> Socket (x quantity) <row 6> Enchantment ( Choose 3, example "50 Health Stolen on Hit", "+10% Critical Hit Chance" , you guys got the idea, must be rational to the game) <row 7> Comment. Put any corny thing you want to say. QUOTE Death Cheater What you guys think?Sword (1-handed) Average Attack Speed (0.5 seconds) Physical Damage: 300-500 Socket x2 +50 Evade bonus 1% target armour reduction on hit 10% chance to randomly teleport your self when HP below 5% "What you tell to god of death - Not today..." ![]() QUOTE In Fate, players are allowed to raise their own pets, cats or dogs, and equip them with 3 items. These pets can help players’ in-game characters fight, pick up and transport items. What is more awesome is you won’t lose them even if they run out of HP when they just wander around for a while and come back to fight for you later. If you feed them with fish, they can transform into various powerful monsters. In Torchlight, all the above elements are completely borrowed without any difference: cats and dogs, 3 available items, help in fight and pick up/transport items, feed them fish to transform them… Does everything sounds familiar? Are they farking idiot They are comparing things are not the same.. which I think that is the only model which not the same. Their ignorance is more overwhelming then their stupidity. QUOTE Official Statement from EGLS Creator of Armed Heroes Online In recent several days, there are lots of controversial discussions about Armed Heroes Online. We believe it should be necessary to introduce Armed Heroes Online to who may have never played the game so to help understand what kind of game it is before going further discussion. Armed Heroes Online is exclusively oriented to iOS/Android mobile devices. Due to the performance gap between PC and mobile devices, assets from PC games do not go for mobile devices. We did great efforts to do each modeling, mapping, bone construction and action by our own on our self-developed 3D engine. Otherwise, we are unable to display each scene of Armed Heroes Online so great on mobile devices. Besides, Armed Heroes Online is fully a MULTIPLAYER ONLINE game. The core gameplay is items farming based on energy system. Also players are provided with various other gameplays as complement including PVP melee combat, clan battle, guild war, tower defense style dungeons, avatar competition, etc. We devoted great efforts to realize smooth operations on phones/pads' touch screen, and to increase connections between players through in-game online chat/share/competition system. There, basically, the game core mechanism is largely different from PC console games. There is similarity between generic games since world view of game developers, and graphic style or compositions are easily influenced by other successful generic games. But what decides whether a game is of fun or not ultimately depends on many things mainly like its basic framework, gameplay and game control. Here we do hope people can at least trial run our game for once before giving comments, good or bad ones all welcomed. We do note that the recent controversial discussions about Armed Heroes Online had brought harm to our company's reputation and worse got our players confused and upset, which is not what we expect to see. As a professional game developer, EGLS has been always dedicating our every effort to bring out better game experience for our players. Players always come first. There, we prefer to modify some parts of Armed Heroes Online where have caused those disputes rather than go on arguing. As long as this carves out a way out of angry disputes, it will be definitely worth our efforts. At last, we want to make clear, if necessary, that we would like to submit the documents, files and other materials related to the game developing to Apple to prove the originalities of the game and the efforts we devoted into the game developing. |
