Apparently... for past few days.. there is a gathering of angry mob/forumer at Runic forum... their demand is the release date.

On every Thursday, their should be a weekly update.. but the past update was late and was not really related to TL2 at all..

This sparks few thread that demanding the date.. some do ask to reopen beta back.

Anyway.. Runic say it will be release in Summer.

Since summer in US is from June to September.. that is the time frame which Runic have, and now it is middle of it (July).

Anyway..IMO, Runic must tell something within this week, otherwise..

They already got hold of our money, so we have the right to know when it will be available.

Its not like they making a permanent physical stuff,like a statue carve on some rare stone.... its on digital media for crying out loud.... they could release a patch later on.

and they should tell on what stage are they on now, rather then this excuse like reply.:

I guess I follow you as well. I tried Dungeon Siege last week.. but didnt feel the hack and slash theme in it.

Drakensang Online felt like Diablo/TL.. but thats mmo.. .so Titan Quest is the logical choice.

The reason there isn't a release date is because it's hard to give one with any precision.
If we DO give one, and we miss it, people will be understandably mad.
There's a LOT of game to polish - and it is time consuming, and not always predictable. The world is also an erratic place - people have family emergencies, pre-planned trips, their kids get sick, and so on and so forth.
With a small team, those life-events have a real schedule impact that is hard to predict.

Let's say I just pick a time. If we need another week when we hit that time, should we take it? Or just boot it out the door?

Why on earth would we keep the game for longer than we had to? The ONLY reason not to release it is because it isn't quite ready yet.

My hope is that after seeing the beta you can rest assured that the quality of the game will be high, and that it was such a large chunk of content that you can also be assured that we're not pulling the wool over anybody's eyes about the scope and polish of the final product.

The reason that it is harder to make posts with concrete game information in them is because the people who provide the content for those posts are working on the game. Making those posts takes time from completing the game. In addition, we beta'd a big, big, chunk of TL2. Most of the details of how it works aren't terribly secret - most unrevealed information is content that we don't necessarily want to spoil.

Anyway, it is understandable that folks are anxious to get a release date - my wife would really, really like one too. And we will announce one, but only when we're pretty sure that there's little chance we won't meet it.

So, today I tuned several sets of spawnclasses, tracked down an issue with easing in non-environmental sounds based on an event, set up a few minor monster skills, and found an optimization issue with non-baked collideable roompieces in an act 3 level that led me to a fix which shaved a lot of loading times down. I also fixed 3 crashes that have crept in over the past week, and debugged some issues with collision normals on scaled non-bakeable invisible meshes. Charged bolts weren't properly damaging enemy units on procs, and I fixed that too. Whee! Exciting, yes?  I am now implementing several sexier tier bonuses on some Embermage skills.

Added on July 16, 2012, 8:03 pmFew days before, my char trapped in weird level that cannot spawn town portal after I accidently delete a "new location mod" while my char save in that place.

I had to pull him out with a console, to bring to town surface..

Guys, Im bored.. wanna play "create-your-unique". People at Runic forum playing it.. it's like this

Follow this template, we play weapon only, not amor/trinket others, let say this if for level 60 requirement:

But what decides whether a game is of fun or not ultimately depends on many things mainly like its basic framework, gameplay and game control. Here we do hope people can at least trial run our game for once before giving comments, good or bad ones all welcomed.

We do note that the recent controversial discussions about Armed Heroes Online had brought harm to our company's reputation and worse got our players confused and upset, which is not what we expect to see. As a professional game developer, EGLS has been always dedicating our every effort to bring out better game experience for our players. Players always come first. There, we prefer to modify some parts of Armed Heroes Online where have caused those disputes rather than go on arguing. As long as this carves out a way out of angry disputes, it will be definitely worth our efforts.

At last, we want to make clear, if necessary, that we would like to submit the documents, files and other materials related to the game developing to Apple to prove the originalities of the game and the efforts we devoted into the game developing.
