playing torchlight 1, and really really enjoying it, played until nearly forgot to sleep LOL

Just want to address your first point -

• The number of enchantment you can do per enchanter depends on his level, for example an Apprentice Enchanter (the one in town) can only enchant once but you will find more powerful enchanters throughout the game that can enchant 3 or 4 times.
  
• Aside from the regular Enchanter, there's also Socket Enchanter where you can socket your gears for a cost. This is far more expensive than regular enchanting.
  
• There might be a few other specialists like Boon who sells Set Items (there's an allegedly very rare scroll which can be used to summon him).
  
• These guys will appear randomly in dungeons and overworlds alike.
  

Just throwing this out there.

is the phase beast something like the goblin in d3? i remember in TL1 i attacked a special creep, and it opened up a portal into a gold looting zone, is that the phase beast?

wait phase beasts got rare items in there? i usually go got nothing interesting. Am i missing something out?

Will you play D2 again then OR D1. I am not those outlandish visual fanatics but when the game look too cartoon, it somehow doesn't feel right. Gameplay of course is important and never want to argue about this but why cant Runic make the game a bit more mature and gothic? I have pre-ordered this game and waiting for it ever since.

I just came back from being ass whippin' at by the horses at Strange Land map a.k.a "The Secret Horse Level" of Torchlight.

Originally, you must fish some stuff and then transmute it to get the map scroll, but we don't have all day.

So, if you guys want to go, this is the simplest way, using this harmless mod (just add the map at town center NPC)

Here are the steps.

1) Download the mod here:[attachmentid=2918629] and then unzip the file
2) Hit Windows + R and paste below

3) Paste  the unzip file inside
4) Fire up the game, loading will be slow, no worries, then game will tell some bla2 warning.. ignore it.
5) Go to NPC at town center, the one selling pots and scroll, there will be the scroll, and purchase it.
5) Right scroll, enter the portal, and pray to your lord.

Hey anybody playing the *ahem* beta wanna try my ENB profile? It's just color correction to make it darker and more atmospheric. If you do try it tell me what you think about it. Thanks!

Instruction - just extract the folder content into TL2 folder and forget about it. Toggle using Shift+F12 (ENB enabled by default). I recommend disabling in-game bloom too.

Edit - you have to disable Steam overlay or any overclocking tools. FRAPS is fine.

I'm still wondering if it's possible to mod in some sort of light radius. If it is, then we'll struck gold. Imitating the PC's light radius is easy enough (just darken the whole thing lol), but what I really want is for the bosses to glow, like in Diablo and Diablo 2. Man.. having those glows chasing you around like the old time would be nice.. or not very nice. >:)

I guess it's possible but it's certainly outside of this mod's scope. Probably gonna have to modify individual models or something, which means waiting for the new TorchED to be released.

Nah ENB 0.0075 is about the most universal ENB out there. It pretty much works in any DX9 game . The downside is features are severely limited. IIRC only color correction and bloom would work properly. SSAO is massively unoptimized. The effect file is limited too. I might try some of the newer ones down the line but most of them - like the ones for GTA IV and Skyrim - are game-specific.

Torchlight II is no where near to "heavy" types of game, a normal PC can record it flawlessly. In fact even if you run it on the same harddisk it still smooth, in my case at least.
