Yesterday bought Y480 with Windows 7 HP licence, and upgraded to 8GB RAM.
It's powerful laptop with greater battery life!!
Now playing World of Tanks(Full screen, 1366x768, very high graphic setting, vertical sync), it still can maintain in 20-40++ fps

Overall how much u buy?And the laptop will it very hot during u gaming??

RM27XX something, coz I'm bought at my hometown, my hometown sell Windows 7 HP licence a bit expensive ....
when I gaming, it only until 60++ something degree Celsius, normal use is 40++ degree Celsius lo, still OK if compared with Asus N56 coz my friend N56 got little but hotter than mine one..

did u planning to install ssd into y480?or u already satisfied with the current hdd?

but install ssd will void warranty?

No budget to upgrade HDD to SSD la bro.....
Now I'm only planning to buy another 4GB 1600MHz RAM and buy CM U2 cooler pad(currently using U1)

a bit slow coz now I'm installed Avast antivirus.....~.~

but not too slow right? ..i hope that the current hdd does not effect overal perfomance too much

BTW now I installed the 304.79 Beta Driver, although performance for game increase, but why Windows Index Score for Gaming Graphic decrease to 6.7?

It wont void the warranty... If got anything wrong, just replace back the SSD with the HD and send back for warranty..

Should be quite effective because you can move the fan to any place you want... So meaning to say you can actually direct the fan under your air intake hole...

Now testing with my roommate one...
I can say is very efficiency coz now HDD temp drop to 41-42, and GT650M temp even low, 37-38.
