Not very, unless you breach the 230-240Nm theoretical torque limit with endless mods. Never forget that the core of the CVT GB is essentially a reinforced RUBBER pulley.

I've read about a couple of (idiot) Americans who tiewboed their CVT Lancers and enjoyed the purchase of a new GB soon after.

The metal ribbed rubber band snap jor lor... Too much torque too sudden... Just like u pull rubber band slowly is ok, if u suddenly pull sure snap...

One word of advise is pls minimise engine braking with ceeveetee... u stretching the rubber band when u doing that... gradual engine braking is ok, not from too high speed drop down to 3 or 2... The CVT gb won't allow it either, it will beep and will not downshift...

It blew lah.

Please understand that our gearbox are not as bullet proof as DSG boxes (tuning wise).

Though in comparison, reliability wise, it might be slightly better (check out the mass gearbox "upgrade recalls" afflicting the current crop of DSG VW cars).

Key point here is you have to know your limits.

After LCP you will definitely use the shifters less, that I can say for sure. After 4-2-1, you will start using it again prolly - because the engine will so easily reach the 6.5k gearbox revcut.

Normal overtaking asso no need drop gear after LCP. From 80 (behind lorry speed) foor it and suddenly you're doing 140-150.

Of course you can drop and make it even more "suddenly". But I dun bother any more.

Don't put tiewbo. Don't drive high speeds for long periods of time with ultra frequent use of them shifters.  Don't treat your car like an F1 car (downshift from 200 to engine brake). Don't do standing drag starts (4k at N and shift to D).

Other than that the GB is more than capable of taking care of itself IINM.

Don't forget, the Inspira/Fake Inspira was designed to be a blardy EconoBox Family Car. You think we're driving a kereta sukan meh?
