i m so in love with lumia phones and decided to get one for myself. luckily the announcement for windows 8 came right before i buy it. Now I really don't know which phone to get

any suggestions will be appreciated.

Brand : any
budget : below 1k
Prefer : ori
Comments : i dun really use the phone much other than for basic communications such as making calls, texting, occasionally check email. Most importantly, I want a phone that will be smooth, i.e. no lagging, auto shutdown problems, overheating , etc...

btw, i m looking for a touchscreen smartphone. Am considering samsung galaxy series.

That's wat i hv in mind too before the windows 8 announcement. Too bad it's going to be obsolete soon. Any other suggestions?

really? I don't know much about mobile phones development. It is because I need to buy a new phone then only i go do research on the internet. I am still keen to get lumia 710 if the price is right.

Actually, I also wanna find out, since windows 8 and windows 7.5 is totally different, what difference will windows 7.8 make?

I was thinking about lumia 610. I use skype for normal calls, no need for video calls.
