Shouldn't a car that expensive be serviced by a specialist or the dealer ? This post has been edited by corad: Sep 5 2012, 04:57 PM

QUOTE The price i'm offering is "wayyy" cheaper among all there is in the market (ignore the price above). Cash buyer only. Direct deal. Didi this car get into an accident ? Otherwise I can't see the rationale in painting it red then selling it soon after at a marked down price

QUOTE(wordtalks @ Nov 3 2012, 12:44 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « @Khoo Xoticsjust curious regarding these "badges" people put on their cars. I see RELA, PDRM, State Gov, Federal Gov, Fire Dept emblems on many vehicles. Any specific reason ? I can't think of any benefits apart from wanting attention. ie: people won't clear a road for you during a jam, police will still catch etc There's even a Range Rover in my area which has 4 different badges. 2 on the front, 2 on the back This post has been edited by corad: Nov 3 2012, 10:16 PM

QUOTE(magnate @ Nov 9 2012, 05:08 PM) student AP is different with Comercial AP... Sorry to OT from thread but just to answer this: I think there are only 2 differences between Student & Commercial AP. 1) Student AP requires the vehicle to have already been registered under your own name + previous road tax of foreign country. 2) Can only change owner details (aka sale) after 2 years from date of importation into M'sia. Quick tip for anyone looking at Land Rovers / Range Rovers. Sime Darby will honor the 3 year LR warranty for vehicles regardless of where you got it from . Just need to pay RM1500 for 1st diagnostic and registration.

QUOTE(chuakz @ Nov 30 2012, 11:37 PM) nice....seen quite a few M5s lately...seems that F10 M5 is selling quite well last told by BMW M'sia, official units are 9 M5 F10 (Nov 2012). Super tempted to get a recond since ori not covered by their usual 3/5 years Repair+Service so no point paying more for official import + to paying again for servicing.

QUOTE(Aventador360 @ Mar 22 2013, 09:24 AM) I am thinking of going the G1m (Langkawi) way for a sportscar I want to buy. The car dealers are half in half. Some say that it is ok and others are saying authorities are going to clamp down. Yesterday's STAR newspaper online (21/3/13) said that 100's of cars had been confiscated and today's STAR got nothing. So any idea if this is still a viable proposition? I would like to be able to drive the car in the mainland. I dont mind sending the car to Langkawi a couple of months of the year and I only drive the car very very very sporadically anyway. I'm in S'wak and we have an even cheaper option ... Brunei Nevertheless, what is illegal is not worth doing. If people get jealous of you, all it takes is some "tips" to a policeman. And who knows, perhaps one day us Malaysians will be able to enjoy these cars without all the duties
